10/10

pingu2209 · 29/04/2011 12:49

I think 10/10 for Catherine's dress. Really beautiful and simple and elegant. Utterly wonderful.

I didn't like her flowers though. My wedding flowers were bigger than hers!

BalloonSlayer · 29/04/2011 12:49

5/10 for Kate's dress - lace over the top is really naff, I've always felt. And she looked like she had ginormous nipples Confused

Pippa's dress - lovely but too much skeletal chest on view

Bridesmaids' dresses - a bit nothingy.

I didn't enjoy it as much as I expected TBH. I thought Kate looked radiantly happy when faced with the adoration af all the crowds, but alternatively smug and uninterested during the service itself. William looked bored throughout the wedding too, I thought. It made me feel a bit worried. I didn't think they seemed at all together. Hopefully it was down to a) nerves and b) wanting to avoid Fergie-style gurning.

Salmotrutta · 29/04/2011 12:51

10 for me too!

Thought her sister's dress was gorgeous too - she certainly has the figure for it.

Victoria Beckham's hat Shock - mad. And totally in black - some colour would have been nice!

bigbuttons · 29/04/2011 12:52

Thought it was all just ok, nothing special. But those Andrew's daughters, what the bloody hell ?????

Nanny0gg · 29/04/2011 12:55

I thought VB's outfit was midnight blue, not black.

KatyH · 29/04/2011 12:55

It's beautiful but I'm a bit disappointed that it is such an obvious rip-off of Grace Kelly's dress - even the flowers (do a goodle image search).

You would've thought they could have had a bit more imagination.

Morloth · 29/04/2011 12:56

Actually those dresses were so appalling I wonder if they were not some sort of protest at their mother not being invited, after all they are going to be in photos now as well.

Did no-one tell them how ridiculous they looked?

SmethwickBelle · 29/04/2011 12:57

I liked it a lot. Very Grace Kelly but the skirt had a modern twist with the back pleats.

It is a very close match to a pronuptia one I nearly bought back in 2004, unfortunately it was out of my budget at 800 quid.

OK probably not that close a match.

nightcat · 29/04/2011 12:59

Dress ok I thought, but the veil a bit on the limpy side and looked rather off white? And why did Sam Cam not wear a hat? And that orange garment looked like a cardi??
Flowers too understated, what were they?

AlpinePony · 29/04/2011 12:59

Bride: 3/10 - the dress has nipples
MoH: 3/10 - neck is good, but yet she managed to make the whole thing look cheap - wrinkled
Flowergirls: 9/10 cute as buttons

AlpinePony · 29/04/2011 13:02

Not sure if this is the right thread - but fuck me, why on earth did she do her own make-up? Shock Less is more, non? I know you need a bit of slap to photograph well but sweet holy jesus. And Pippa? Shares in St. Tropez? Hmm

TragicallyRoyallyHip · 29/04/2011 13:04

Did she do her own make-up? [cconfused]

pawsnclaws · 29/04/2011 13:07

Lovely dress, make up a bit much - she's a very striking girl rather than pretty pretty, and too much slap veers a little into tranny territory IMO - but overall she was stunning. Poor William, every day he looks more like his father.

I think Harry would've looked better if he'd run a comb through his hair, and was very slouchy. Pippa looked a bit TOWIE for my taste.

AlpinePony · 29/04/2011 13:07

Apparently so!

treedelivery · 29/04/2011 13:07

[cgrin] BofF

LIZS · 29/04/2011 13:08

Thought her dress really suited her but her sister's was a bit dull and out of keeping with younger bridesmaids.

oldraver · 29/04/2011 13:11

Very Nice and quite similar to mine. Mine had plain lace though but the same curved V neck

GitAwfMayLend · 29/04/2011 13:11

I think she looked marvellous - really elegant. Like the 50s styling. And the veil was the most beautiful thing about it imo.

10/10

Pippa's dress looked like from a different wedding, not at all in style with the bride. Plain and noughties styling. Meh.

3/10

Bridesmaids very pretty and will not date.

6/10

Kate's make up looks fine, too much kohl but only looked heavy in the abbey, looked fine outside. I suppoosed it is a fine line t o tread between too much and not enough.

WONDERFUL eyebrows.

Most enjoyable thing about the weddind was the amazaing music, and also the prayer from bishop of London.

I think she looked perfect.

2rebecca · 29/04/2011 13:13

10/10. I think she looked beautiful. Wish I'd had trumpeters and a Cinderella style coach for my weddings...

OMG some of those fugly hats - Posh what were you thinking? And Eugenie and Beatrice looked like extras from My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding.

exoticfruits · 29/04/2011 13:14

10/10 fantastic dress. (loved her mother's outfit too)

GitAwfMayLend · 29/04/2011 13:15

Said on the other thread that the middleton women look far more classy than the royals.
