I think both her and her sister looked amazing, understated but elegant, beautiful. Top marks

KateMiddletonsEyebrows · 29/04/2011 18:08

I too have eyebrow envy.

I thought the dress was utterly exquisite. Just perfect. I loved its 50s styling, the lace, the padding round the hips, the bustle, the fabric, the veil.

Not so keen on Pippas. It was a bit 10 years ago. (but would love a figure like hers)

sayithowitis · 29/04/2011 18:14

I thought the dress was exactly right for the occasion. As to the issue of the colour of the bridesmaids dresses, I think it is quite traditional for royal brides to dress their bridesmaids in the same colour as the wedding dress. Occasionally, as with Diana's, there may be the addition of a sash or something in a different colour, but in the main, the dresses tend to match the wedding gown. George v and queen Mary Princess Margaret The Queen The Queen's parents princess Anne in fact, the only recent one I can find who seemed to buck the trend, was Autumn Kelly who chose coloured dresses for her bridesmaid dresses when she married Peter Phillips.

10/10, she looked amazing, couldn't fault any of it, (except Beatrice and Eugenie).

helenthemadex · 29/04/2011 18:56

lovely dress very simple and understated

I wanted to brush Harrys hair it looked like a scarecrow

MrsCog · 29/04/2011 19:00

7/10 for the dress - loved the top, didn't like the bottom. Thought her eye make up was too heavy - under the lighting of the abbey you could 'see' the make up. However the overall look, under the right lighting and from a distance was beautiful.

Pippa's dress was beautiful, from some angles she looks great, from others a bit overly skinny but then that seems to be their families physique.

William looks about 15 years younger with a hat on!

Really enjoyed the whole thing more than I thought I would.

fastedwina · 29/04/2011 19:10

I thought she looked lovely. Dress, tiara and veil just perfect and liked her hair down - made her look approachable and not trying to hard. Thought at the time that no-one could dislike or criticize the dress - but seems I was wrong! Grin

HalfPastWine · 29/04/2011 19:15

Beautiful, elegant and perfect. 10/10.

Lizziefinch · 29/04/2011 19:16

10/10 classy, beautiful, dramatic enough for the venue, managed to make her look like she has a waist, not like a skinny pole... work of art I thought.

kittya · 29/04/2011 19:31

Im watching it again on Sky now. I do like abit of Sky for getting the details. Pip has got knickers on I can see the outline. I loved her dress.

I think they are now all arriving at Buck Palace. Must dash.

Honeybee79 · 29/04/2011 19:41

Oh I loved it. Dress, veil, tiara, hair . . . all worked brilliantly. She looked great.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 29/04/2011 19:48

TBH, although I have given it 4/10, it would have had to be a fairly radical departure from tradition to get a 10 from me (I much preferred Pippa's dress) and the veil just killed it for me, I don't like them at all and all those ruffles down the back of it were too fussy for me. I don't like full skirts and I didn't like the pointy chest. Wouldn't do for us all to like the same things though, I just hoped it would be a bit more modern.

Jux · 29/04/2011 19:53

I liked it. Stylish, elegant, beautifully cut, understated. Not some crap meringue, frills and furbelows which indicate silly fairy-princess-I-haven't-grown-up-and-am-irremediably-childish.

AllOverIt · 29/04/2011 19:59

I thought it was truly beautiful. Timeless and classic. 10/10

I agree Diddl - they all looked lovely. Prince Edwards DD looks just like him but sweeter.

kittya · 29/04/2011 20:08

who said that? what a shocking thing to say. I hope it wasnt about Edward's daughter who has had problems since she was born Sad

noddyholder · 29/04/2011 20:09

diddl I thought that too what a hideous thing to say about anyone let alone a child.

puffling · 29/04/2011 20:15

Louise Windsor looks such a royal. She really reminds me of Queen Alexandra and a young Queen Elizabeth. While I'm on the topic, Beatrice is the spit of a young Queen Victoria and Prince Michael of Kent looks like a Tsar.

SoloIsApparentlyACougar · 29/04/2011 20:17

Puffling, I've often thought that about Prince Michael :)

puffling · 29/04/2011 20:18

Not Queen Alexandra, I meant Queen Mary.

SmethwickBelle · 29/04/2011 20:18

I imagine the comments about the flower girl are about the very young ones who seemed rather bored by the whole thing, there is a memorable pic of "the kiss" with one of the tinies gurning over the balcony - I thought it was quite sweet.
