Nice dress but nasty eyeliner...

GitAwfMayLend · 29/04/2011 14:00

Had no idea Sarah Chatto's dress was so beautiful hf.

breathing · 29/04/2011 14:00

sunchild I agree, the makeup ruined her

ShoutyHamster · 29/04/2011 14:02

Sarah C much better!

TBH all a bit of a damp squib - Katie dress ok but just not wow, Pipkin dress kind of oddly out of place and tiny BMs also ok - together a bit of a mish mash.

BORING!

Camilla on the balcony...Diana would be turning in her grave!

breathing Sam Cam

RunAwayWife · 29/04/2011 14:02

I think she got it so right, classy, classic yet understated.

And they did look happy, I think this royal marriage might work

What a nasty thread, i cant bear to read it all

belgo · 29/04/2011 14:03

9/10. The bouquet should have been bigger but the dress was very pretty and appropriate.

ShoutyHamster · 29/04/2011 14:04

She always wears too much makeup - tis very ageing

breatheslowly · 29/04/2011 14:04

I don't think the top half and botton half of the dress really worked together.

GitAwfMayLend · 29/04/2011 14:04

Hmm, don't really agree re make up. Am certainly not a fan of hard black eyeliner, however at least she looked like herself, and didn't have a completely difgferent look for her wedding, like most brides.

Plus I think lighting in Abbey was harsh, in daylight outside the make up looked fine imo.

forehead · 29/04/2011 14:04

Ireally cannot understand the fuss about Pippa's dress. She has a nice arse , but i did think the dress was a bit sexy for a royal wedding.

Pippa and Kate appear to be very different characters; Kate is poised and refined and Pippa is slightly daring and wild, and will probably spend the rest of her life trying not to play second fiddle to her elder sister.

herhonesty · 29/04/2011 14:04

liked the dress but thought her boobs looked a bit odd. PM looked amazing. bridesmaids too but from my perspective it didnt hang together as a group. not that i would have expected KM to wear the same dresses as the baby bridesmaids but perhaps the same material, or colour? CM looked lovely and very relaxed in what she was wearing.

thought sam cam looked a bit thrown together. nice dress but weird necklaces... queen resplendent in yellow but hat looked like a bit cakeish. totally agree with the fergie brood comments wtf was that hat!

there was a beautiful woman in a brown audrey hepburn style dress..

GitAwfMayLend · 29/04/2011 14:05

I don't care anyway, she looked so happy and relaxed, which is pretty amazing in itself.

I would have been a nervous wreck and would have fallen over.

ShoutyHamster · 29/04/2011 14:06

Ahh mosschops what an x-post. You're right. My last comment was very bitchy!!

Will hang head in shame and wish them all the best. If it helps, I liked the Queen. She looked like a lovely very expensive lemon lolly.

xxx

fifitot · 29/04/2011 14:07

I hate the fake tan obsession brides have before weddings. Overall though thought she looked lovely. I like lace in wedding dresses. The dress wasn't my style but she suited it I thought.

breathing · 29/04/2011 14:07

gitawf do you think? i think she looked drawn and pained

partyhats · 29/04/2011 14:07

I loved the dress, thought it was perfect, v elegant and classic. She looked stunning!

HooverTheHamaBeads · 29/04/2011 14:08

God Pippa's dress rocked. Very sexy and she has a killer bod. Slightly too tangoed but not dreadfully so.

Kate looked beautiful and looked happy. The top half of the dress was faultless IMO but I wasn't keen on the bottom half. WOuld have preferred less pouf at the back and to have carried the heavy lace all the way to the floor. I hope she had a removeable train so she can boogie on down later tonight. Her waist is tiny!

RunAwayWife · 29/04/2011 14:08

The watching world will talk about the dress, some will love it some will hate it, hardly bitchy to discuss it really, if you don't like the thread go away and hide it

She looked very self conscious in the abbey, and nervous, however seemed to relax hugely once she had said her vows.

Outside she looked marvellous, gawd bless 'er.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 29/04/2011 14:10

4/10 from me too, pointy chest, old fashioned, and veil over face is a total no for me. I don't like trains or veils, especially veils over the face.

ohboob · 29/04/2011 14:11

Loved the top half of the dress, but the skirt didn't really work for me, so 6/10. It was quite Grace Kellyesque, in it's favour. But not nearly special enough.

I thought Beatrice and Eugenie looked appalling, sorry. Everything else was magical.

Selks · 29/04/2011 14:13

I thought it was lovely, but didn't like the weird bodice pointy boob shape thing. LOVED the hair down though, looked gorgeous with the veil when it was back.

Beatrice and Eugenie's outfits though.....WTF?? [cshock]

TheOriginalNutcracker · 29/04/2011 14:14

I loved the dress so 10/10 from me.
