Lilmeena, not sure if you read my post fully - I said I'm not a Labour supporter.
I also don't understand why you think I believe Labour's record on the NHS is 'squeaky clean'. Of course it isn't - I just don't think they'd have followed the same actions as the Coalition. Both the pieces you link to identify criticisms of the Blair govt for privatisation of the NHS, which I think are quite valid (& a continuation of Tory policy at the time). It's just like the PFI scandal - it was a Tory policy first. Whatever the genealogy of the policy, Limeena, I do not believe that Labour would ever have presented Landsley's bill.
And you miss my wider point: the Tories are cackhandedly trying to push ill-thought out policies through Parliament and when they are challenged, rather than argue the merits of their case, they resort to clumsy secondhand sexist jibes to silence their opponents.
I find that pretty insulting. You clearly think it's fine. But do you not think we are all a little diminished when we have a PM who quotes Michael Winner at the despatch box?
