I posted this in feminism but think this is appalling, if true.

Lord help David Cameron when he comes on here, begging us to vote for him at the next election. He'll get a pasting for this and quite right too.

Lilmeena · 27/04/2011 18:35

Tethers; I know what the straw man argument is thank you ( having studied philosophy for 2 years ) so there's no need for anymore patronising posts -

and Y'know chances are, I've forgotten more than you'll ever know -

I HATE being called dear it's ghastly!!!

TethersEnd · 27/04/2011 18:39

Sorry, what was that, Lilmeena?

I was busy thinking about kittens and shoes and stuff.

Was debating one of the things you forgot?

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 27/04/2011 18:43

StewieGriffithsMom... Not everybody is attacking feminists though or making personal insults. In fact, most of the posts here aren't doing that.

I've had a look at this thread on feminist board though and seen how people on AIBU are perceived. Not very nice either. Feminism is not owned by that board and many people consider feminist issues important without ever posting there. I do wonder why people from that board who have such little respect for people from this board post the issues here. Could it be that some enjoyment is derived from making fun of some of the responses?

Hecate sums it up brilliantly in her last sentence. Running this country is full-time serious job not a spin-off from the Bullingdon Club. Does he not realise what a turn-off his patronising autocratic voice must be to millions of potential voters?
My own viewpoint on D.Cameron is disappointment coupled with disillusionment with ALL politicians of all parties.
As to voting in the upcoming May elections, why bother when all the candidates are equally unworthy?
There seems little point voting for or against AV if the candidates you are voting for are so unworthy.
Could you possibly put these lame ducks into any sort of rank order?

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 27/04/2011 18:48

StewieGriffiNsMom... in all the posts I've responded to you on, I've persistently called you StewieGriffiTHsMom... sorry, I've only just noticed your name properly... Blush

Lilmeena · 27/04/2011 18:52

Sorry Tethers, did you say something completely meaningless just then?

Oh Yes you did, - sorry.

dickydawkins · 27/04/2011 18:52

Asinine · 27/04/2011 18:55

Vote Hecate Grin

CrosswordAddict · 27/04/2011 18:57

I vote Hecate for PM Smile
Well, Hecate you couldn't be any worse than DC could you? Wink

LegoStuckinMyhoover · 27/04/2011 18:58

well, what on earth do we expect? Really, honestly?

Nearly all his policies discriminate against women somewhere along the line, if not then their benefits changes [welfare changes] definately do directly. So why are we surprised he comes out with remarks like this?

The man is a smug, stuck up, condescending, sexist, ignorant twerp and crap PM; who should be setting an example to the house and country.

The benefits changes don't discriminate against women - they discriminate against scrounging layabouts!

Swedes2 · 27/04/2011 19:01

I see the Guardian and its 42 readers are outraged too.

Guardian online commenters are SCARY. Mumsnet are a bunch of pussies in comparison. Wink

How about a nice cup of tea, sugar-tits?!

Swedes2 · 27/04/2011 19:13

CameronRocks Grin Grin@ sugar tits.

Swedes2 · 27/04/2011 19:16

SGM - It's prettty depressing to imply anyone who doesn't go a whole heap on the feminism board isn't a feminist.

BoffinMum · 27/04/2011 19:17

Hope Sam gives him a sorting out later this evening. He came across like the head boy of a public school that had recently gone co-ed and was having trouble working out how to address females.

monkeyplayszeebongos · 27/04/2011 19:17

wow just seen this on tv, what a load of chimps. agree with hecate too, it's like a fucking circus

londonone · 27/04/2011 19:19

Are any of the posters who are convinced that it was a sexist remark going to address the fact that dc previously aimed the exact same comment at David miliband?

CrosswordAddict · 27/04/2011 19:19

Very surprised that you think Samantha is the person to sort him out! Wink
