To be a bit annoyed that some lads peed in a bottle and then poured it on my DD

I'm not BU,I know I'm not. And I'm also not annoyed, I'm spitting feathers, but I don't know what to do about what happened, and I'm hoping for lots of outraged comments from you lot.

Yesterday, Dd (16) went with four of her friends to a local riverside where lots of kids hang out on nice days. There was a large group of 20 or so girls and boys, similarly aged to herself (she thinks). They began picking on her because she has red hair (dyed red). She ignored them, they then started picking on the other girls and surrounded them. Dd tried to reason with them by saying that they were all there for the same reason, and why couldn't they leave each other alone and why were they picking on people when they didn't even know them. Next thing she knows, lad approached with a pop bottle and pours/chucks it over her hair - and it was urine.

Dd and friends left at this point and rang dh from local train station (after having waited for train for nearly an hour). Dh went back to riverside with them but the group had gone. I'm so upset for her, she was more upset last night than I've seen her in quite some time, and I don't blame her at all.

OMG utterly discusting and how and for your DD to suffer that.

I'm glad I too don't live near Beesimo - I'm a LP and not sure my 6yo DS would make much of a bodyguard.

Your DD might also like to have a look here Shandy. ONe of the first things I thought when I saw your op was 'fucking little chavs picking on the goth/emo kids'. Well done for reporting it, and well done to your DD for standing up to the bullies in the first place. S.O.P.H.I.E is a good site for tens who want to stamp out bigotry and bullying or have experienced it themselves and want some peer support.

And Beesimo, whatever fucking backwater you live in, I do hope your DDs escape it as soon as possible. Becuse a community where men feel that the women are property to be protected means the women are under far more direct threat - from the men in their families who are undoubtedly beating and abusing and raping them but that's their own fault for not managing the men better ie obeying and submitting all the time.

Although I am from the North I can't claim to be Geordie but I would be proud to be classed in with them. They are hard working, proud, fiercely loyal people who also know how to have a good time, everybody is made very welcome down the Big Market in Newcastle as long as they behave. The toon rocks but it is a very safe place to be and the chance of anyone getting piss poured over them is zero.

I actually feel a bit sorry that some people on MN are such narrow minded bigots about anyone they perceive as ' not like us' If you actually bothered to read my posts properly you may understand something about other peoples ways of life. Just automatically resorting to being snide is just shan.

I think " undoubtedly beating and abusing and raping" is a bit OTT springchicken.

It might be worth heading down there and seeing if there were any cctv or shop cameras that might have picked up the actual assault , the police dont always do this . Even if there are no cameras nearby they might have been picked up on cctv heading that way.

Report it to the police.

If someone did this to my child I would want to smack them silly

beesimo, I've lived all over. North, South and in the Middle, overseas and far away.
Wherever I've lived there have been people who would start a fight with their own shadow if there was no one to scrap with.
