Apparently baby Tommy/James 'likes mashed bananas the best'

HE IS NOT EVEN 4 SODDING MONTHS OLD YOU BLITHERING IDIOTS.

DO the not know of current weaning guidelines??????

And rather tahn getting formula from Fat Elvis why do they not just pop into Tesco like the rest of us?

Ah but it's not supposed to be realistic, according to the tit they have 'running' the show.

MaisyMooCow · 18/04/2011 20:33

Eastenders has always been complete and utter bollox!

KnickersOnOnesHead · 18/04/2011 20:33

Grip. Get. A.

It.Is.Not.Real.

Get over it.

DuelingFanjo · 18/04/2011 20:34

lots of people wean when a baby is that young. wrong but true.

Marne · 18/04/2011 20:34

Was thinking the same (surely he's not old enough for banana?)

Though it was all a bit OTT tonight but glad eastenders didn't drag the naf story line on any longer.

GypsyMoth · 18/04/2011 20:35

its present guidelines....next month they may change. guidelines, not law!!

GwendolineMaryLacey · 18/04/2011 20:37

The guidelines haven't changed for about 20 years so yeh, next month they may change... Why hang around, give the kid some spaghetti hoops. Hmm

sharbie · 18/04/2011 20:37

well it was the guidelines when ds was a baby

AtYourCrucifix · 18/04/2011 20:39

but Fat Elvis formula? what about that?

OP posts:
AtYourCrucifix · 18/04/2011 20:40

and the social worker had time for breakfast. so unrealistic.

OP posts:
GypsyMoth · 18/04/2011 20:40

it was 12 weeks when dd1 was a baby...now 16

they then changed to 4 months.....then 6

they certainly HAVE changed

jojowest · 18/04/2011 20:41

yep, im sure i gave mine solids at 4 months

DuelingFanjo · 18/04/2011 20:42

isn't it not before 17 weeks but preferably at 6mths?

jojowest · 18/04/2011 20:42

mind you, we didnt have the oracle of the internet in them days :) just had to use our common sense, and we survived believe it or not

cunexttuesonline · 18/04/2011 20:42

the banana thing was the most realistic part of the episode!

GypsyMoth · 18/04/2011 20:43

thats right jojo.....but some choose to disbelieve!

AtYourCrucifix · 18/04/2011 20:43

and they've done the gay kiss, gay muslim, wife swapping, teenage pregnancy stories. when are we going to see a real life baby feeding from a real life boob?

OP posts:
transferbalance · 18/04/2011 20:49

only now that they show a baby eating banana at 4 months it is unbelievable??!!

what have you been watching for the last 25 years?

AtYourCrucifix · 18/04/2011 20:55

it was good until that point. even Tamwar and his secret wedding. I'm afronted by early weaning. I may even defect to Corrie.

and I am right and not U at all.

I genuinely thought tonight was brilliant. And Friday night's episode. I was in tears on Friday, and had to eat a whole jar of Nutella to recover. Also because I was a bit worried that Max might be dead.

Puffykins · 18/04/2011 21:17

Oh, and Formula is kind of expensive, and I bet that Fat Elvis will get a special deal on it which is probably why Alfie suggested that Mo get in touch with him.

Honeybee79 · 18/04/2011 21:21

I love it. And I sure as hell don't watch it for its brilliant realism - what would be the point of that? Grin.

My dream job is scriptwriting for EE. Was fantasising about it earlier today in fact . . .

Puffykins · 18/04/2011 21:23

My dream is to be IN EastEnders. I met a scriptwriter once, and begged and begged for him to find a way to get me in. I even went on a date with him in my efforts to make it to Albert Square. Sadly, it was all to no avail.

Honeybee79 · 18/04/2011 21:24

Oooh, yes, it would also be fun to be IN it. As long as you weren't in a relationship with Phil Mitchell.

muffinflop · 18/04/2011 21:24

I love it too honeybee.

I thought the storyline was shocking but the acting was brilliant (speaking from experience)
