To want to batter my alkie neighbours new boyfreind to a pulp

I am raging as i type this, in fact raging is an understatement,
my son is autistic and was out jumping on his trampolene in the back garden, he is 18 but is very immature due to his condition.
My next door alkie neighbour is having a barbecue with her latest internet boyfreind and a couple of others, they are all steaming drunk and smoking spliffs openly, the fence between us is 6 feet but as son was jumping on trampoline he could see over the fence, i was in the kitchen when i over heard the new boyfreind say loudly " what is that fuking retard looking at, fuking spastic cunt "
I was out the back like a flash and went ape shit, i dont usually swear in everyday conversation but i just went mental and called them all every name under the sun, they stood there and never said a word looking shocked, i took my son in and he is now sitting watching the simpsons quite happily but i am so angry, do i phone the police, do i forget about it and just put it down to a bunch of drunken idiots, or do i phone DWP and report the alkie bitch for fraud ( i wouldnt normally dream of doing this but im so fuking mad ) as she is claiming benefits while working a casher and has moved her boyfreind in.

Shop her to the DWP that stop them from being able to afford drugs and alcohol.

Hmm, as a one off I probably would not report it to the police, but can understand you are angry - the trouble is there is no reasoning with morons like that, don't expect an apology. if anything further happens, yes report them.

the fraud is another matter, you should do your duty to the public purse and report her for that anyway!

Don't shop them as it will escalate the issue and they may then feel just cause (however unreasonable) to come down on you in anger. Let it go this time but if it continues, make sure they know they are skating on thin ice.

Sons fine IloveTIFFANY, thanks for asking, he doesnt really understand whats going on, but im angry enough for both of us, its all quite outside now, theyve all went in, im going to let him out again and stand at the back door ready to launch another attack and ive phoned a couple of bikers mates to come round for moral support ( or to batter alkie neighbours boyfreind, havnt decided yet lol )

Dont report them now. They will know it's you & it could have repercussions for you & your son.
Do it when it's settled down if you know for a fact she is claiming.
Hope yr son is ok.

My children are both autistic.

If someone spoke about them like that, then I would certainly go apeshit. I would report them and I would not stop punishing them until they were on their knees in life.

I am not rational, sane or forgiving when it comes to people abusing my children.

mumsnet law requires me to say that you should be the bigger person, that you shouldn't be petty, blah blah blah yadda yadda...

But if someone sneered like that about my precious, sweet, vulnerable and innocent children - I would be overwhelmed by the desire to destroy them.

Yes worraliberty, her kids run wild and she is a dirty midden who hasnt cleaned her windows since she moved in about 5 years ago, shes an alkie who gets brave when shes drunk and tried to bully me when she first moved in, shes always telling people shes going to batter me so i once went to her door and anounced that i was there for my battering and shes ignored me since, im not scared of repercussion for myself because i can handle it but obviously worried about my son.

I am angry and I do not know you. But you obviously shocked them by responding - which was fully deserved. When calmer, I would ask for an apology. It's not a police matter and would cause all sorts of problems, as would reporting them to the DWP. But you should not expect that ever again.

I hope your son is OK and not upset.

i wouldnt use the language the neighbour used, but would be irritated at a kid/youth peering over the fence while i had friends round for a bbq

Theirs not usually any feuds going on because she knows i wont back down but the new internet boyfreind doesnt know me so probably though me being a single mum to an autistic child can be seen as an easy target, i have the backing of all the other neighbours as no one can stand her as she hides her empty vodka bottles in other peoples wheelie bins,
I can hear my mates motorbikes arriving so i think we shall have a nice can of lager out in the back garden to reinforce the fact that i mean business.

I am tempted to say dont report her....but really you should....you should reporther forbenefit fraud and for smokin dope and HIM for abusive languge...and you should complain to the tenency association about their behaviour ... IS threatning and they should be kicked out of that house.

jjowest.....her son was playing on his trampoline....who says he can't??? Who gives them the right to abuse him?

He wasnt peering over the fence, he was jumping on a trampoline, he has autism and probably wasnt even aware he was looking at them.

I think that you have lost the moral high ground by swearing back at her. I always find that it helps to keep your calm and your dignity. In any case if you remain calm it seems to further wind up people like this. Also you have nothing to regret about what you have said and by remaining calm you seem to be more in control.

The OP has not lost the moral high ground because they were using disgusting insults towards her disabled child. Her aim wasn't to 'wind the other people up' she just reacted like any mother would in the circumstances. However, unfortunatly there will always be people who use terminology like this, with cognitive disabilities you do have to grow a thick skin. As a parent of a DC with learning disabilities i laugh at and pity people like the neighbours, but to be honest i don't always hold back.

Bittersweet, honestly, why would you want to waste your hate on numpties like that? Can you not waste it on folk who are more worthy of it.

Other than that, I'd suggest you keep a diary, with time dates and things done and said, of any incidents regarding those neighbours. That way if you report them to the police you have everything written down to show them.

I would have already reported her, and love how you went to her door for your battering!! I would be out scouring the neighbourhood for dog shit to put through her letter box right now if I were you.
