My mum just texted me to say that tomorrow there is a documentary on BBC3 at 9pm called, "Is Breast Best?".

I predict a bunfight! Grin

I could never feed in a bluddy toilet?...would anyone eat their dinner in a toilet???

ohanotherone · 12/04/2011 21:48

Shock horror, premature babies need breastmilk!!!

SecretNutellaFix · 12/04/2011 21:49

Extended breastfeeding folks!

crikeybadger · 12/04/2011 21:49

Hardly '"extreme" is it Albrecht.

Good plug for milk banking though.

fifitot · 12/04/2011 21:49

Thanks PDog - feel upset even thinking about it now. My norks were aching and well past their usual expressing time by the time I got started too!

evolucy7 · 12/04/2011 21:49

Of course breast is best, I don't understand the debate!

rokersmum · 12/04/2011 21:49

snap fifitot on my course at university - a guy came into the room they had sorted for me and then just carried on hoovering around me ... i couldn't move as was linked to the expressing machine - was soooo cross.

PDog · 12/04/2011 21:49

My DD ate a sandwich when she was 7mo - silly cow

expatinscotland · 12/04/2011 21:50

Not seen it. Don't really care.

Woodlands · 12/04/2011 21:50

oh ffs. My 8 month old can eat a ham sandwich, does that mean I should stop bfing?

ReshapeWhileDamp · 12/04/2011 21:50

full set of teeth ... Hmm

Actually, a full set could take a while! Grin

CaptainNemo · 12/04/2011 21:50

ah now here we go.....

(5 1/2??)

fifitot · 12/04/2011 21:50

rokersmum - that's even worse than the cleaner incident!

ohanotherone · 12/04/2011 21:51

Oh here we go, the give up feeding when the babies get teeth chesnut!!!!! And feeding a FIVE YEAR old!!!! Mine 5 year old still would if I let him!!!

Albrecht · 12/04/2011 21:51

Fifitot, good on you and your manager for complaining.

PDog · 12/04/2011 21:53

Oh - is this the woman who wrote the article?

MollieO · 12/04/2011 21:53

Disappointing that Cherry visits a NICU but doesn't know who works there! Ds was cared for by amazing paediatric intensive care nurses not midwives Hmm. Fwiw I had the most monumental pressure put on me to breast feed even though Ds was fed through a tube for the first 2.5 weeks of his life. Surprising that the teen with the small baby wasn't similarly pressured.

PDog · 12/04/2011 21:54

She didn't though - she called bf 'creepy' iirc

Mumcentreplus · 12/04/2011 21:54

My DD is 7 and if I would let her she would....milk long dried up!

Albrecht · 12/04/2011 21:55

Wow she really tackled her Hmm

ohanotherone · 12/04/2011 21:55

And she is the editor of one of the most prominent baby mags in the country.....this is why bf rates are low....I rest my case m'lud.

PDog · 12/04/2011 21:55

I think it depends on the hospital Mollie - I was pressured to give DD formula because we had latch problems.

Woodlands · 12/04/2011 21:56

oh ffs again why not find a quiet corner of a cafe for her first public bf, not a bench in the middle of everything?

ReshapeWhileDamp · 12/04/2011 21:56

That was ... quick! Hmm

BuckBuckMcFate · 12/04/2011 21:56

Why in the middle of a shopping centre? Why not in the corner of a coffee shop for her 1st time in public?
