At my local breastfeeding group (in an area where lots of people breasrfeed) there were 3 teenagers who breasfed (including one with special needs, they do it if the support is there).

I can see that breastfeeding in front of a 'live audience' in a cafe might be more intimidating than in front of a camera, but she's being a bit daft all the same.

Feeding in the toilet - why?

You know what - I have recently returned to work and am expressing there. Had to attend a training course at a local hotel recently. Rang and explained I needed a room to express in. They weren't that helpful but agreed to sort me on the day. On the day noone could remember having this conversation with me, there were no free rooms, I had to explain my need to express 3 separate times to men who looked at me like I was mad. The hotel manager suggested the toilet............Eventually they found me a grotty room and guess what 10mins into expressing, I was interrupted by a cleaner trying to get in. By this time I was really upset. I burst into tears.

My manager complained to the course facilitator and the hotel. They sent me some chocolates.

Don't know why I am sharing this on here tbh. Just reminded me of that awful day and how BFing is seen as so 'other'.
