To object to people smoking in town/city centre?

Busy, shopping, lots of people crowded together type of thing. Then, you're walking along and having to pass people who are standing having a fag outside stores or walking along the street smoking and you have to follow in their smokey wake Hmm

I used to smoke and can understand that people like a fag, but surely they can hang on till they reach somewhere less crowded before they light up.

It's also annoying for ds2 who is 6 to have to walk along and get a face full of smoke when we walk past because of people standing with cigs.

Am I turning into one of those annoying militant ex smokers, or am I reasonable to feel angry about this?

Smokers don't leave us alone though, we still have to put up with the smoke. Fag butts and dog shit, both disgusting.

Ahh they follow you around blowing smoke directly in to your face just to annoy your do they?

Or do they just light up in the wide open air and still you whine?

Jesus really, some people need to get a hobby...have a shag or even a self fiddle..whatever it takes to chill out.

it really annoys me especially when people do the ohimnotsmokingafag stance and hold it right down by there side, so in most toddlers sat in strollers face height, my cousins hand was burnt by one of these twats!

Did you nod sympathetically as he expounded the nature and grounds of his annoyance?

He sounds a very empowered young man, though I sense a not-quite-so-attractive sense of entitlement, which is almost disturbing when articulated in one so young.

AIBU: I stubbed my toe today, and it is all the fault of these bastard smokers. AIBU to want to bring back hanging for them?

AIBU: I am filled with a general sense of roiling hatred towards a threatening and overwhelming exterior world, over which I seem to have little control. AIBU to want to bring in a law whereby I can legitimately scorn, disparage and maybe even physically hurt a fraction of society to make me feel better and more in control?

Outside is better than inside if you have to smoke, I hate smoking the smell and gritty feel of the air BUT outside at least you can move away. A few years ago I was walking down a street behind someone with a cigarette who then flicked the ash over the shoulder into my eye and burned my eyeball Shock I had to go to hospital! Although I am willing to admit this was a freak accident rather than a common danger of smoking in the outside world.

I really hope none of those who have been offended by smokers are fat because Jesus Christ - my eyes, some of those sights have nearly made me go blind.

Or wear synthetics, made in sweatshops, by the feeble hands of impoverished children, working with the products of the petro-chemical industry.

Or eaten a poor battery hen - ohhh, the humanity.

Or, for the love of God, ever farted in a lift.
