Just happened upon the last one and liked it, so ...

I don't think The King's Speech is that great a film; I think the directing was often unimaginative, cliched and banal and the script obvious. And Helena Bonham Carter wasn't that good.

I think NVQs are pretend qualifications.

blinder · 20/03/2011 20:04

Givemushypeasachance in that case I'll allow your username Grin

I'm a feminist and I regularly piss myself laughing. That's forceps for you.

spiderslegs · 20/03/2011 20:05

'Govts saying sorry for stuff that happened in history hundreds of years ago in a very different time, culture and environment is ridiculous' - agreed & utterly specious

allsquareknickersnofurcoat · 20/03/2011 20:06

1/5 there and no bun fight....

spiderslegs · 20/03/2011 20:07

'If you drink a bottle of wine every day, you are an alcoholic.' - incorrect, you are merely thirsty

Itsjustafleshwound · 20/03/2011 20:08

Agree - only say sorry if you mean it and you are directly responsible for the grievance.

LadyOfTheManor · 20/03/2011 20:09

I'm not racist/sexist/disable (ist?).

I really just have a problem with EVERYONE no matter or colour/gender/creed/job.

I just cannot be pleased.

Spudulika · 20/03/2011 20:10

That drinking 4 double espressos every morning is a very good idea and might well give you the best possible start to your day.

That children who've been breastfed into the toddler years often have nice shaped faces because of their shallow, wide upper palates.

Jaffa cakes are synthetic horrors have a mouth feel not unlike air-freshener paste and furniture sponge.

catchmeifyoucan · 20/03/2011 20:10

Exactly LadyOfTheManor - exactly! Try explaining that it's nothing personal, you just hate everyone. Nobody gets it.

feeblephoebe · 20/03/2011 20:11

any daft sod can do a degree and scrape through it

those who shout loudest arent always right

some people are quick to play the race card

ReindeerBollocks · 20/03/2011 20:11

Inception wasn't a clever movie - certain people didn't understand it because they are stupid.

Not everyone is nice or misunderstood, some people are just bitchy yes SIL this applies you.

Skinny people aren't always unfriendly and overweight people aren't always nice.

YouTry · 20/03/2011 20:11

"Jaffa cakes are synthetic horrors have a mouth feel not unlike air-freshener paste and furniture sponge."

But they're virtually fat free! Jammy Dodgers, though, they're gross.

Runningjustasfastasican · 20/03/2011 20:12

Agree with feeble

spiderslegs · 20/03/2011 20:12

Anyone who uses the term 'playdate' must be eliminated & 'babychino' - them too

allsquareknickersnofurcoat · 20/03/2011 20:13

I judge every single parent on my facebook on their obvious lack of MNing Grin

YouTry · 20/03/2011 20:13

I hate it when people refer to themselves as "a mummy" e.g. "I'm such a happy mummy today, PFB had a lovely long nap..."

boosmummie · 20/03/2011 20:14

*LadyOfTheManor I get you now!!!!!! But I remain grateful that you haven't shot me. And you don't like strawberry creams so you must be ok!

I like Spiderlegs also.

blinder · 20/03/2011 20:14

Boosmummie I've already eaten the toffees. Psych!

VajazzHands · 20/03/2011 20:16

That if you are very depressed, 9 out of 10 times you are depressed for a reason therfore no amount of drugs will fix it. I genuinely belive a bit of fresh air and sunlight works better.

True & true

robotlollypopman · 20/03/2011 20:16

Ricky Gervais is the funniest man who has ever lived.

LadyOfTheManor · 20/03/2011 20:17

I hate people who say "psych". It is not 1990.

CrapBag · 20/03/2011 20:17

This thread was going so well until jaffa cakes and jammie dodgers were slagged off!! Wink

Oh and (to my cousin) dying peoples hair is not a career.

allsquareknickersnofurcoat · 20/03/2011 20:18

I dye my own, would that make me self employed??

boosmummie · 20/03/2011 20:18

Playdate? Babyfuckingcino? Ridiculous.

When my older DCs were small, they went for lunch or tea and they drank a glass of milk.
