I don't think you have OCs at all leQueen, our utility room is exactly the same. It just saves time looking for things if they all have a place

To keep the place respectable rather than immaculate(dread to think what might be behind, sofas, piano, etc., I do about 45 minutes every day on top of cooking. Our cleaner lives in the spare room for 4 hours of cleaning (floors, hoovering, paintwork, dusting) and about an hour a day Monday - Friday of laundry and a quick tidy around in the mornings.

We just about pass muster although I think my standards are quite high.

My house is constantly grubby and it drives me mad but with 3 young children who love playing outside in our garden which is little better than a pond at this time of year as well as five cats dragging mud in and out every thirty seconds I really just can't find the energy anymore.

Was mortified last week though, house was grubbier than usual as I was finishing two OU assignments and planned on having a scour around once they were handed in and I was having my Saturday morning lie in so was up in bed reading a book with tea and biscuits when the doorbell went and dp came running up to tell me ds1's friends mother had called in. She stayed for almost 5 hours (she's a lingerer... her visiting habits are a whole other thread!) and I spent the whole time cringing at the dust and dirt Blush
