Can you afford it? Will your kids still have food/shoes/Boden new season clothes? Then YANBU :)

carriedababi · 09/03/2011 14:21

Oh go on...you only live once.

GetOrfMoiLand · 09/03/2011 14:22

Oh that is a lovely reason I think. Yes, treat yourself.

Mind you, I have molton brown soaps/lotion in a holder in my bathroom, but I am usually too tight to pay out that money for soap which I have to SHARE, so buy Baylis and Harding shite and decant into the Molton Brown bottles Grin

inkyfingers · 09/03/2011 14:23

you must have had a wonderful honeymoon if you're buying the stuff again!! Buy it and you'll know if you want to get another. Or put on birthday list especially for those who buy you crap shower gel.

carriedababi · 09/03/2011 14:25

Are you mad??

carriedababi · 09/03/2011 14:29

oh yes it was an amazing honeymoon.
really really great
we went to dubai for about 5 nigths then onto the maldives, when we were int he maldives we stayed in a beach villa for 4 nights then we moved to a water villa for the last 3 nights
its was so great
in the beach villa you had an indoor bathroom and an outdoor garden bathroom, which was totally private and had banana trees growing next to the showers etc, and a big bathing paviliion with a bathing menu, where you could order oils and flowersetc.

i would love to redo that honeymoon one day, we had hoped to redo it for a 5 year anniversary but funds won't allow!
so perhaps we will make it for our 10th anniversary

ooooh..... Grin

That honeymoon sounds lovely. Hope you will get there for your 10th anniversary Smile

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 09/03/2011 14:40

Definitely not unreasonable. I love MB's Cool Buchu - also Jo Malone's Grapefruit or Lime Basil and Mandarin.

mylovelymonster · 09/03/2011 14:42

Molton Brown has nothing special going for it apart from some good PR and smart branding/market placement. Nice fragrance, but still just sodium lauryl sulphate, like any cheaper brand. Not unreasonable, if that's how you like to waste spend your money.

Medee · 09/03/2011 14:44

Which MB is it? The Wild Indigo takes us back to our honeymoon, also in the Maldives.

JessRabbit · 09/03/2011 14:45

I actually think it lasts way longer than most other shower gels anyway, it's so thick that ypu only need a tiny bit. Pop it on a sponge or scrub and it lasts for ages.

I bought 2 back in December and I've only just run out.

Go for it :)

carriedababi · 09/03/2011 14:48

ok i'll buy some next time then, at least i won't hhave to keep having a sniff as i go by!GrinBlush

i can pop upstairs and have a sniff whenever i like

my parents would have a fit if they found out lol

Oh I love the Molton Brown Black Pepper shower gel.

Smells are so evocative, aren't they? I only need a whiff of Allessandro Del'Aqua and I'm transported to my wedding day Smile

It's for this reason I buy a new perfume before every trip, the smell takes me back there.

Go on, it's a good enough reason op Smile

carriedababi · 09/03/2011 14:50

it was seamoss, put the place we got married in also had molton brown, the ginger and lily or something.

that reminds me of the wedding.

but the honeymoon stands out the most to meGrin
no stress, just funSmile

It's lovely stuff, I treat myself now and then, and then it's back on the Sanex :)

My eye creme cost £29 for 50ml. Eek. It lasts ages though when DD2 doesn't get hold of it and dob it all over her chops.

allsquareknickersnofurcoat · 09/03/2011 14:58

Grin well you dont have to use it, it would just be more convenient for sniffing...

ThisFeelsWeird · 09/03/2011 14:59

YANBU - what the hell, if you can afford it, do it. Sometimes it's the little pleasures that take us through the day.

ChippingInMistressSteamMop · 09/03/2011 15:01

Excellent!

Life is too short to deny yourself a treat you can afford!

(Just don't do it too often or it wont be special anymore !!)

carriedababi · 09/03/2011 15:02

lol, yeah imagine that i never actually use it, i just sniff it Grin

ok you bad influence friends have talked me into it,

i am definatley going to get someSmile
