Well, am I? I think it's the biggest load of pants I have ever seen.

Could day the same about women and MN?

Youllskimmer · 07/03/2011 19:32

Say not day.

Mare11bp · 07/03/2011 19:35

I don't expose DP to Mumsnet. He has his own laptop so not hogging equipment. But Black Ops is on lounge TV. I am on the sofa. Even the Black Ops music is annoying.

Oh I am in the same position. Even if DH has 5 minutes spare he will hop on to CoD. ARGH.

BuzzLiteBeer · 07/03/2011 19:38

No men I know play games like that. I thought it was for teenagers?

Mare11bp · 07/03/2011 19:40

Didn't I tell you? He is 15. Don't call the police.

YankNCock · 07/03/2011 19:43

We don't own a games console, DH has never really been into that stuff. He specialises in endlessly watching Led Zepplin concert footage on YouTube.

Malificence · 07/03/2011 19:53

I'm obsessed with Tomb raider so I'm really not in a position to comment.
We are hardcore gamers in this house, it's one of those things that people either get or they don't.

hephaestus · 07/03/2011 20:14

We fight over who gets to play new games first. I fucking love CoD.

AuntiePickleBottom · 07/03/2011 20:41

i love CoD black ops rule...especially the zombie levels

Bringonthegoat · 07/03/2011 20:42

Video games are for children - YANBU

Leave the twat

AuntiePickleBottom · 07/03/2011 20:44

bringonthegoat CoD BO is an 18 rated game Wink

FabbyChic · 07/03/2011 20:47

I love watching my son play Sacrifice.

FabbyChic · 07/03/2011 20:48

My favourite is Zombies! I watched my son for over 2 hours play it with his mates! Level 32 they got to.

Just because it don't float your boat don't mean it is shit.

FabbyChic · 07/03/2011 20:49

It shouldn't be an 18 there are no guts and gore its real tame.

NinkyNonker · 07/03/2011 20:49

YANBU. Absolutely, same goes for all computer games to be honest.

linziluv · 07/03/2011 20:49

I'm a Black Ops widow also!
Precisely why I don't live with my DP! 50" plasma is only telly in flat...plus he shouts and swears at it making me jump every bloody time! It's his only vice so I suppose I can cope!
I spend far more hours MNing but it doesn't involve anybody else and can at least have a conversation whilst doing so!

Neggy · 07/03/2011 20:54

"It shouldn't be an 18 there are no guts and gore its real tame."

You have to torture someone by smashing a window, putting the broken glass in their mouth and then repeatedly punching them in the face, is that not guts and gore?

You need to get your partner a) some headphones b) his own TV.

PersonalClown · 07/03/2011 20:55

Another COD:BO widow here.
I have banned the use of the 50" plasma for it so he sulks using the 16" PC monitor.
The only video game I find fun is Mario Kart on the Wii.

SecretNutellaFix · 07/03/2011 20:56

I'm an Elder Scrolls nerd I'm afraid.

DH will be ignored in NOvember when the new one gets released.Blush

loflo · 07/03/2011 21:04

I make DH wear headphones Grin

And DS has told all his class mates that it's his game and he lets Daddy play it sometimes in his seven year old dreams

furryfury · 07/03/2011 21:06

I'd bloody love to be a CoD widow, I HATE FIFA 11 (and 10 and 09 etc for infinity).

Love Elder Scrolls though, almost ruined the excitement of Dragon Age 2 when I saw the trailer for Skyrim, replaying Oblivion already to tide myself over.

Shepard · 07/03/2011 21:11

Cannot wait for Skyrim - though will be fighting DH over who gets to play it first.

Really want Dragon Age 2 as well but will have to wait until next month as cannot afford it at the moment. :-(

SecretNutellaFix · 07/03/2011 21:14

I love Oblivion- when I read the run down for Skyrim, I squealedBlush

Dawnybabe · 07/03/2011 21:17

We used to have Halo parties before it all went online. We had lots of teles in different rooms, xboxes all connected together and it was bloody brilliant.
