Twice this weekend i have had TheLook frm friends implying that I have my foot on the slippery slope to wankfrippery.

Firstly, I was caught with my Sat Nav tuned to the dulcet tones of Jacques issuing directions en francais.

And secondly, I received the Raised Eyebrow when my BF spotted the candle bags placed beautifully outside my humble abode specifically to provide a warm welcome to ungrateful visitors.

Please comfort by sharing your worst affectations.

My wine glasses are Spiegal, and not only do I have different ones for red and white, but ones for different wines. You need a more slender glass for a Riesling than a Cabernet Sauvignon. And a more bulbous one for Bourgelais than a Merlot. PS... you should serve your Bourgelais slightly chilled too.

To make peach nectar, skin fresh peaches, puree in food processor, add water (less than you would think), sugar to taste and can in mason jars. I preserve in hot water so that it lasts up to a year (to use the peaches from the tree). If you were just making a bit you could puree, pass through a fine sieve and drink. Add prosecco for Bellini.

I love Farrow and Ball. My MiL thinks I'm mad.

My glasses are Reidel. I was ruined for all time by the Reidel rep who demonstrated how the right glasses with the right wine really make a difference. I don't drink posh wine. I drink crap-ish wine in the right glass.
I bring home the crap-ish wine in my Waitrose bag - the nice green woven bag-for-life type, paid for on account.
