GAAAAAH! Am I?? Well Am I?

Deep breath. MIL has arrived from overseas...she got here on Friday only...so has spent the day here with me and 2 DDs.

She is staying in a hotel a mile away and all day DH has been working on putting in a new fence in the garden so it's been me and MIL.

Now MIL is ok...she's not the worst BUT she won't take a hint.

Tommorrow I have 20 people coming for DDs 3rd day...mostly relatives...I Have a tone of wrk to do and DH has tramped mud all through.

I can't clean up because DH and MIL ae watching tv and he hasn't got MIL into gear...she'll sit there al frigging night periodically dozing and waking up in time to laugh at shite on TV

I SPOKE to DH yesterday as I knew this would happen....I said "Please encourge MIL homeafter the kids go to bed....or I wont be able to clean and prep for theparty.

So what does he do??? Sit there drinking coffee...it's 9.00 and I have to bake, clean and tidy.

I've washed all th sofa covers and they'r plonked on it watching tv!

As for baking...if I start baking, she'll come in and WATCH me!

I want DH to frigging take MI home! He could watch TV and spend time with her at her bastard hotel...I am so angry because I new this would happen.

Give DH the broom and mop, and tell him to clean up the mud he's traipsed through. Then give him a couple of other cleaning jobs to do. Why should YOU have to do it all whilst he sits on his arse?

Then go and do the baking, hopefully MIL will get the hint and head back to the hotel. If not, she'll be sat in front of the shite TV on her own.

Get on with what's needed around them, then later, offer DH a blow job, and 'accidently', get him with your teeth.

No no no.... wat to put them bck on...I took them off washed them and they are sitting on the basic uncoverd cushions of the sofa!

It''s not that I wont let them sit on my clean cushions! Grin

As for the BJ/teeth scenario Shock Grin

Take the covers in and ask them to put them on the cushions for you. Then ask DH to clear up the mud while he's up and you get on with the baking.

YABU. Ask them to get up as the sofa covers need to go back on, then segue into "actually DH could you put them on? I have loads to do for tomorrow!".

Go in and say, "MIL, you must be tired after your journey and we have a lot to do to get organised for tomorrow so if you don't mind dh will give you a lift back to the hotel just now and we'll look forward to seeing you tomorrow"

Get mil to help with the baking!!
Get dh to put covers on them clean floor.
the real problem here is that you don't like your MIL for whatever reason and you're annoyed that shes sitting in your lounge, isn't it?

I agree with the other posters telling you to just get on with what you need to do - on the other hand I can sympathise with feeling annoyed at the presence of MIL. Mine just has to look at me to wind me up.

As has often been mentioned on here before - what if it was your mum would you be in such a huff? Your mil is your dh's mum he obviously is enjoying just having her there. What is she supposed to be? A mind reader? Either ask them to help or just get on with it!
