Looks nice though, and is John Lewis!

Lulumama · 03/03/2011 17:30

DH got me a lovely non stick pan t'other day, £4.99 . For £280 I'd want it to cook the farking dinner

redfairy · 03/03/2011 17:31

Yes it is, I bought a saute pan for £50 and felt like the queen I thought it was so expensive. I wouldnt have bought it had I not got vouchers as a wedding present. I have to say though that it is a quality pan and cooks up a dream. Next step...Le Creuset!

LessNarkyPuffin · 03/03/2011 17:31

It looks pretty.

RomanceGoesTenting · 03/03/2011 17:32

Oooh, AllClad...

brimfull · 03/03/2011 17:35

It does look fab , but need non stick. Bought this one today but dh says the bottom is too small...unlike mine (arf)

plus I got 25% off the price shown

romance - have you used All Clad before? never heard of it

OP posts:
RomanceGoesTenting · 03/03/2011 17:47

No, I've never used it. Just seen it on US cooking shows, and looked it up - I concluded from the prices that it must be bloody good, and have been hankering after an All-Clad baking tray ever since!

BulletWithAName · 03/03/2011 17:49

Insanity!

RomanceGoesTenting · 03/03/2011 17:49

But what I really, really want is a beautiful Staub cocotte.

Bonsoir · 03/03/2011 17:51

I spend this amount on pans. Because (a) pan technology is amazing and the better the pan, the better the food (b) good pans last forever.

brimfull · 03/03/2011 17:52

they look like lecreuset

OP posts:
brimfull · 03/03/2011 17:53

have you got one bonsoir?

OP posts:
brimfull · 03/03/2011 17:54

tbh I would want to try it out before I forked out the dosh for it

OP posts:
mousymouse · 03/03/2011 17:54

I got one from wmf for my wedding. nearly the same price range... but I would never spend that much money on a pan myself.

Bonsoir · 03/03/2011 17:55

I have ICM Le Pentole pans, which are just fab. The only All-Clad things I have are a set of cup measures that DP brought me in Williams-Sonoma when he was in NY on a business trip. But All-Clad are supposed to be very fantastic.

A friend of a friend has a big important job at Williams-Sonoma and lets us into kitchenware secrets Smile.

BitOfFun · 03/03/2011 17:56

Yes, all my pans cost at least that much.

brimfull · 03/03/2011 17:56

Williams-Sonoma -??

OP posts:
Bonsoir · 03/03/2011 17:58

Williams-Sonomax = amazing US chain of kitchenware shops.

I bought a saute pan from TKMaxx for £15 and it is amazing. I'd cry spening that £280 on a pan.

BitOfFun · 03/03/2011 18:00

I was only joking. You'd have to be a complete twit and a bit of a show-off to spend that on pans and then brag about it on mumsnet, surely?

Sorry Bonsoir, only just noticed you there Grin
