and you can't even wash in up in the dishwasher!!!!

Does it make food taste any better?

I'm not much of a cook but I can see the point in spending a good deal on a nice set, if you can afford it, if you think it will last forver

I've gone through countless pots and pans so cheap ones might be a false economy. But, £280! even £140 seems a lot for one pan!

For that money I'd atleast expect accurate spelling!

All Clad is the business...this is the stuff top chefs use. DH did a cookery course at Rick Stein and has wanted a set of copper All Clads ever since. Not happening!

Nigella rates French copper pans from eBay, FWIW. Much cheaper!

It does look nice. I'd love nice expensive saucepans. My friends have the stainless steel 'le cruessett' (can't spell it!) and they are fab seem to heat better and evenly. I stare lovingly at them everytime I go round. I will bebuying some when I win my 24.7 million on the lottery Grin

poncery of the highest order.

if you like cooking and have the money and interest then it is entirely reasonable to buy excellent quality stuff that will last you years.

that is just silly though.
