Just wondering how many other people opened this with the thought "does this mean it's Friday night" Grin

Haven't seen the video but do like the song.

KnittedBreast · 03/03/2011 13:05

OP posts:
MikeHock · 03/03/2011 13:07

Perhaps there is an "explicit" version of the video that was banned?

Not seen it yet.

BusyMissIzzy · 03/03/2011 13:11

Oh, so this thread isn't about sausages & mash?

[disappointed]

FluffyMuff · 03/03/2011 13:12

And for any dyslexics reading - it's not about Marks & Sparks either (lol - old one's are the best!)

I did see the video and don't understand why it was banned (I was rather tipsy when I watched it)

Mamaz0n · 03/03/2011 13:19

didn't know it was banned but not seen i either.

I do know that i dislike the song and teh lyrics and feel it sends out a very odd message given that she has experienced Domestic abuse.

Punkatheart · 03/03/2011 13:21

S & M in M & S using M & Ms - now THAT would be worth watching.

thanks altinkum. thought it was just me being moody

upyourdiva · 03/03/2011 13:27

The video is not banned but they only show the full version after 9pm because even though it does'nt seem much to us an 8YO watching it might wonder why Rihanna is tied up and being spanked!

oh lighten up! DD2 is dyslexic and I thought it was funny. She never gets any jokes whih are plays on words or letters, but once they are explained she'll collpase into giggle and say "oh, that's funny!" then she'll be unable to remember it or re-tell it correctly!!

Mamaz0n · 03/03/2011 13:56

but it wasn't a play on words was it, it was a "for all you that are too thick to read.."

it wasn't funny. it was insulting and ignorant of what dyslexia actually is. but i guess i am just over sensetive which is why i didn't mention it at first

I dont need to lighten up, its never acceptable to "make fun/laugh at" at somebody with a disability or learning disability!

You a idiot if you think it will ever be acceptable or funny!.

Oh by the way Im dyslexic, and for me it wasn't funny at all, it was extremely offensive!.

FluffyMuff · 03/03/2011 15:45

really is funny, ha ha,[hhm] to take the piss out off someone with a learning disability. Cant see me laughing tbh, must make you feel big and cleaver fluffymuff, all in the sense of humour tho innit!

I really do despair.

Several members of my family are dyslexic, they also have a sense of humour.

That's all I'm saying about it.

FluffyMuff · 03/03/2011 15:48

but it wasn't a play on words was it, it was a "for all you that are too thick to read.."

NO, it was a play on words.

I am not nasty, spiteful or would ever take the piss.

Do you know what I am going through a fucking shit time right now and can't believe I've let this get to me as much as I have.

If you don't like it then fucking report it.

BossGibbs · 03/03/2011 15:52
Hmm

yes because your family is dyslexic, that makes it OK to make fun of us who deal with comments like that on a daily basis, you never directed the comment at your family, you directed it to all people who have learning disability.

Would you makes jokes about people in wheelchairs, telling them to walk etc...

Would you make fun of a person with no arms, telling them to write etc...

Its unacceptable, and I find it appalling that you think that this is acceptable way of thinking, and make fun of this learning disability "just because members of your family" have dyslexia.

I have a sense of humour, having a sense of humour is nothing to do with your complete lack of understanding to those who have this LD!!!

FluffyMuff · 03/03/2011 15:54

Oh do fuck off.

BossGibbs · 03/03/2011 15:55

Alot of us are going through shit, doesn't make it a get out clause to poke fun at this DISABILITY!!!

Id rather pull you up on it, and deal with it myself, than hide behind a computer, or get MNHQ to pull it.

Its shameful and inexcusable, it doesnt matter if it we're a play on words, or a joke, both are disgusting!.

BossGibbs · 03/03/2011 15:55

Nope!!

your attitude is shameful!

FluffyMuff · 03/03/2011 16:18

as is your sense of humour.

you are having a shit day or whatever so decided to have a go on what is clearly light hearted and not meant in anyway to insult anybody.

You have no idea who I am and I don't care you can accuse me of being the biggest disabled hating person in the world.

I don't care because I know I am not. You know nothing so wanted to play the 'big man' on AIBU because you are sitting on your high horse.

You bore me.

I'm hiding this now.

Sorry OP.

Mamaz0n · 03/03/2011 16:24

Im not a racist, cos all my friends are black innit. Hmm

I am dyslexic and i found it rather offensive.

it says quite alot abotu what you find humorous that you thought it would be funny.

I am not nasty, spiteful or would ever take the piss.

errm except you DID take the piss.

you are an incredibly aggressive poster as well. I would imagine that had you actually meant it lightheartedly you would have apologised for your serious failure in judgment and moved on, rather that to attack and be incredibly rude to people who point out just why your little "joke" was not funny at all.
