Ugh ugh my eyes are bleeding help me.
Pil are currently staying here against my wishes as had dd 4 wks ago and have infection in my c section scar. They seem to spend all morning "getting ready" to lounge around my house all day.I have an en suite but have been told to have baths due to my wound.I have been waiting to use the bathroom all morning whilst they enjoy a leisurly breakfast. At midday i thought it would be perfectly reasonable to use my bath.I opened the door to find fil in full glory showering.Wtf? Why didnt he lock the door?I have a sodding 8 yr old dd!
Am now cowering in my room too embarrassed to face him.
Many of you are familiar with my pil stories but surely i now qualify for some sort of award.

A naked man in a shower really is not a big deal.. so what if you have an 8 year old? has he never seen a naked body before???

squeakytoy · 26/02/2011 12:34

she, sorry...

ledkr · 26/02/2011 12:36

ah well.. if you had put a Grin in your post... that would have made it a bit different... lol!!!

I wouldnt be sat here thinking you were really mortified by it... Grin

GwendolineMaryLacey · 26/02/2011 12:42

Could you not hear the shower going?

saffy85 · 26/02/2011 12:42

You're lucky- least your FIL actually showers. Hmm wish my FIL would. There was no need for him to flash you ofcourse. Grin

ledkr · 26/02/2011 12:45

its the grey pubes i found mortifying tbh!
Only joking i didnt look that hard haha.My main prob no is that its 12.45 and i still havent had a bath yet.God they are still mooching about on the landing-"go downstairs to lounge will ya"

ledkr it made me smile :o How does he measure up :o!!!

He should have locked the door when not in his own home I agree. I've seen your in law threads before and posted about mine (we have to go visit them when DS is born etc). I much prefer my situation to yours though!

How is the baby doing?

ENormaSnob · 26/02/2011 12:46

yanbu

ledkr · 26/02/2011 12:47

I did listen at the door yes,i couldnt hear a thing and you normally can and the cubicle door was slightly open too, maybe he had only just got in?
I had dh put the lock on specifically for them to come.
I want a bath !!!

OP posts:
wellwisher · 26/02/2011 12:51

Just TELL them or get your dh to tell them that you need bathroom priority for medical reasons. Or better still, send them home...

ledkr · 26/02/2011 12:52

lisa didnt stop to measure it.I was thinking that people familiar with my previous posts would find this amusingnin an icing on the cake manner.
baby Delilah is doing much better now thanks not that ive seen her much as im confined to my room.I have just rung dh downstairs and told him to sort it,my dd is in there now and she normally has to be wrestled into the bath.
How long till your baby comes and you have to visit.

OP posts:
laosvher · 26/02/2011 12:53

Tell them you need a bath and would appreciate it if they didn't take so long tomorrow
or shout at them to get a bloody move on, what are they doing in there?!
:o

compo · 26/02/2011 12:56

How odd - what is your 8 year old doing while you are all taking all morning to get ready?!
Get dh to take his parents and dd out for lunch so you can bath and snuggle in bed with baby

ledkr · 26/02/2011 13:05

Haha well wisher yes that sounds better idea.
Im off to my friends now to drink wine get my roots done they can prance around naked while im gone.

I'm 33 weeks today! I have already informed DH that we will not be travelling (150 miles) until baby is at least a month old and to let them know this. They are more than welcome to visit for a day before this if they so wish! Also said that they will have to visit us at my mums because MIL smokes and they have 2 mental jumping dogs at home! I'm not sure if this has been passed on yet, but I'm sticking to my guns on this one!

Delilah is a beautiful name BTW!

ledkr · 26/02/2011 13:08

compo she was up with me watching tv.Why?Thats what saturdays are for.

ledkr · 26/02/2011 13:09

lis i dont think its reccomended that they are in a carseat for too long, that may help your cause.

Dylthan · 26/02/2011 13:27

I've read your other threads and reading this one made me Smile
I did instantly think well that just tops everything off

I'm glad you're able to find some humour in your situation it should make things a little easier.

How long are they staying for?

woollyideas · 26/02/2011 13:31

YANBU. Who wants to see their FIL's meat and two veg? Blush

pigletmania · 26/02/2011 13:41

woollyideas ROFL thats what i was thinking. Ymmmmm would go nice with a bit of sauce Grin

LisMcA · 26/02/2011 13:51

no more than 2 hours is the recommendation for a sit up car seat, but ours lies flat so thats ok! typical. However, it takes us exactly two hours to get to my mums anyway!

I'm not budging though, no way! I'm a stubborn lass, and will not change my mind! If they made the effort to see/support me maybe I'd be different, but all I've had is a brief conversation with MIL about how she had a prolapse when having DH! Nice!

To be fair to them, they don't keep the best of health FIL had a stroke in October too and is still recovering. They aren't being unreasonable not visiting us, I just want them to be aware we won't be rushing up the road with the baby after a few days. We have Skype, that will have to do in the interim!

2rebecca · 26/02/2011 14:05

Why do you have to wait for them to be up and about before you have a bath? If you get up and there is no-one in the bathroom then have a bath then, they can use your ensuite if they need the toilet. Is there something here I'm not getting?
I only have 1 bathroom but if I wanted a bath and the bathroom was free I'd just run one and not take ages in it. I wouldn't hang around waiting for everyone to have breakfast. Your husband can sort them out, or they can sort themselves out with cereals and toast surely?

ledkr · 26/02/2011 21:58

no bath in en suite, need bath cos infection in my scar, slept later cos up half the night with slow feeding baby who has cleft palate and severe reflux-that clear enough for you? Why the prickly manner? Is there something im not getting?

When I shower I get the full lenght mirror from the bedroom and place it outside the shower so I can watch myself
