Precious First Pup, that is.

Yes, after conceding that I was unreasonable not to plan to serve our new pooches the very best in pet nutrition, Shiney has now told me that we need to get them Dap Collars. With- get this- calming pheromones Hmm

Woo for dogs.

What next?

AIBU to tell her that is a step too far, and that she is a sucker? Or will all you experts out there tell me that I am wrong again and that I will end up capitulating once more? This is madness, I tell you, madness...

From what I understand it releases the doggy equivilent of marijuana?

She wants to dope her brand new furry babyWink

SarahStrattonHasNiceBears · 24/02/2011 23:20

YABU they work. I've no idea how though. I bought them for BigDog and LittleDog when I moved as they were v unsettled last move. They definitely helped as there was no marking this time.

They used to lie right next to the plug in :)

What's wrong with a blanket in the mother's bed for a few days?

Always have had the stinky mother blanket and a warm hot water bottle.

Pups always cry for a few nights until they settle imo.

Pah.

LessNarkyPuffin · 24/02/2011 23:24

Chaos is looking for you.

The blanket thing sounds cheaper much more sensible.

bellavita · 24/02/2011 23:26

Ah I get it now....

So when I complain to Shiney that I cannot get hold of her for love nor money and she says she has been busy, what she actually means is that she has been researching fucking dog collars. Great! Just flaming great.

BitOfFun · 24/02/2011 23:27

Oh God, I am going to be swept along again, aren't I?

Seriously, they work?

I am just waiting for her to suggest we take them to visit the Dalai Lama.

I don't think I have ever towel-dried a dog. In my experience, they give themselves a good shake and then roll around on the palest patch of carpet they can find.

RedbinD · 24/02/2011 23:50

Woo Hoo, get cats, at least the self obsessed little bast**ds look after themselves.

Underachieving · 24/02/2011 23:50

Ye may mock the doggles, but have you ever seen any in action as it were? The PFP's are clearly utterly underachieving. Grin

BitOfFun · 24/02/2011 23:53

Oh that link is fantastic. Shiney can buy a motorbike like that OP's feckless husband from the factory in India, and take a roadtrip back via assorted spiritual leaders.
