That is just wonderful! You are very, very bad. Though I do think this would look just spiffy under the floaty blue.

Could someone pass me a Tena?

Things are okish.

Tho I need to marry money. Right Now.

Hullygully · 24/03/2011 16:10

Mimi, a friend of mine was saying that the other day. Poor thing was standing there in despair, she works all the hours there are at two jobs, owns her own house, runs a car and just about pays for it all. Just.

OP posts:
MadameDefarge · 24/03/2011 16:20

I am so bored of being poor. Of not being able to pay staff. of worrying about money.

Stupid thing is, its a great little business.

If only to share the rent with someone! Blimey, how basic is that?

Still, reminds self of utter loveliness and soldiers on....

Hullygully · 24/03/2011 16:21

What about a business partner? Investment capital? Or is that bitter-mirth-provoking?

OP posts:
MadameDefarge · 24/03/2011 16:24

ROLF. In bitter way. Have put feelers out.

Stupid thing is, was approached by someone last year (a customer) but wasn't in the place to do it (Ididn't know enough to know what the hell I was doing, now I do, and it would have been great) and passed him onto to someone else on street struggling. Now they are doing great and I am sort of kicking myself. Except I know it would have been wrong then, he would simply have taken over totally. Sigh.

Hullygully · 24/03/2011 16:26

Wish I had some spare cash. I'd invest.

OP posts:
MadameDefarge · 24/03/2011 16:31

Well Hully, I feel you have all invested a lot already. IPOAT support has been a key to getting through the bad times, so I certainly owe you all some grub if you ever pitch up this way!

minimammoth · 24/03/2011 16:45

In sympathy with Mimi. Have just come on for a stroke and a hug, as someone has defrauded our business bank account, into 4 figures so big sodding gloom. It will be paid back in, but does not make me feel safe.Sad

MadameDefarge · 24/03/2011 16:46

oh mini. what cunts. Total and absolute cunts.

Hullygully · 24/03/2011 16:46
OP posts:
MadameDefarge · 24/03/2011 16:47

And what is your fee for that, Hully? Wink

CheerfulYank · 24/03/2011 17:51

What sort of business is it? Do you sell things? I'll buy some if you do! :)

Mini that's awful! Shock My Slap List grows longer by the day...

Glad it's being paid back in though.

minimammoth · 24/03/2011 18:10

Yes Dh has been on phone for an hour and he hasn't killed anyone yet.

So I shall dig a hole in the garden and put money in that. Get out that slap list cheerful ooh yes.

MadameDefarge · 26/03/2011 19:31

Clearly they were not prepared. Damn them.

Did not march. Mooched around cafe swiping stray dustballs as all my customers clearly were marching. Fuckers.

On a positive note, had a couple of fabulous nights, clearly good weather is a good thing and makes people want to eat out.

have cleaned bathroom. And living room. And am now steeling self to clean kitchen.

Tonight for the first time I am "hosting" a pop up secret supper club. when I say hosting, I mean watch them trash my kitchen, blow the cooker and ruin my chances to make a living. But am sure all the vegans who have paid £30 a head will love it.

Umami · 26/03/2011 19:36

Did not march. Too busy working for The Man.

Umami · 26/03/2011 19:38

Am trying to crochet a square for Mr Poe. Turns out I don't really know how to crochet, which is making things a little difficult.

MadameDefarge · 26/03/2011 20:03

Chere Widow, have you not Staff to crochet for you? This is, after all, what they are for. And I would have hoped, that several husbands in you would have enough bullion to pass on this task.

Have you considered tatting a square? I feel Mme and M Poe would appreciate the gesture, and Master Poe would be duly honoured. Bless him, the little darling.

Umami · 26/03/2011 20:14

The maids have such calloused hands, they'd ruin the yarn.
