i just think the sooner my family get out of this country the better. Its ridiculous. Human rights has gone mad . The prison system is ludicrous! The immigration laws are a joke. Britain has lost almost all the values we used to stand for. Where i live british people are a minority/ stranger in our own country its unbelieveable that it has got to this point. The 'democracy' we live in is far to leanient. I am disgusted that we allow such things as the burkha here i believe that like france, Britain should ban it. So much money is being spent to enable life to be better for those who come here and claim our benefits, translators etc and running the NHS into the ground.... aibu to wonder WHAT ABOUT US BRITS????

my dad is very quick to spout rubbish similar to that of the OP. i am now very quick to remind him that he is currently funding his youngest child while she is being an immigrant in australia. it shuts him up pretty damn quick when i ask him how he'd feel if Dsis phoned him to say she couldn't get a job or anywhere to live because people were discriminating against her and telling her to go back where she came from.

Booy - yes is an intersting read - even though I think they have in more recent years been "over taken" by another group. It's still relatively recent in social history.

I walked through my town on Sunday. I walked past Polish, Russian, African, Slovakian, Asian, Chinese and a lot more.

Instead of being repulsed, I felt proud that we have such a well mixed community. Our town is 80% White British, but the BME communities are well mixed and well presented so you get a real feeling of ethnic mix when in the town.

Yes I think it is better long term to teach English than pay for translators, and think extra money needs to be found for the NHS for the extra demand (insted of shutting hosptial departments like round here)

But if you take the time to befriend these "immigrants" you would realise that a vast percentage of them work hard, want to integrate and came here because their own countries had an awful way of life for their families. Would you do the same?

I was born a Britsh Citizen but my ancestory isn't british, how many generations of 'British Blood' should there be before anyone can count themselves as a TRUE BRIT. And what documentation do I require in order to prove I am a british citizen as obviously just holding a british passport isn't enough.

I am sorry to say though I am the grandaughter of an Illegal Immigrant, so maybe I should pack my bag and fuck off to where I belong.
