I had high hopes when I joined MN that I would find a community of helpful, supportive, kind and caring people ... Mums in other words!

So far I have found a few witty and brilliant characters but mostly every thread I've lurked/posted on has been populated by violently opinionated and judgemental people.

Am I on the wrong threads or is the anonimity of MN the root of the problem. Where are all the nice mumsy types hiding? Are they just lurking so they don't get flamed?

Boden baked? Damn it. I thought they were raisins but they are in fact a hotch-potch design.

BeribbonedGibbon · 22/02/2011 21:02

I've had loads of brilliant advice and support on here over the years - not least the time when my friend's son ran away from home and loads of Mnetters gave contact ideas and helped to look for him. It was amazing. I've found great holiday destinations through Mnet, fab recipes, and often have a good laugh. Mnet is fab!!

GabySolis · 22/02/2011 21:02

watercress lady sounds a leetle mad, going to slowly walk away hide in the corner lol

lovenamechange100 · 22/02/2011 21:03

What bread would you consider middle class then? Homebaked? Artisan from local deli? But then what would be upper class? your beri welcome gibbon, whenever Ive seen your name in the past i always misread it and thing of gibbets that hung to ward off other wrong doers back in time somewhere.

BeribbonedGibbon · 22/02/2011 21:05

Loving chocolateshoes giving a thoughtful, reasoned response amidst the rest of recent posts Grin

lovenamechange100 · 22/02/2011 21:05

gaby it is there fault I dont know them, I started posting sensible stuff in support of OP and they just well they did and no one ate my watercress to go with the quiches that someone else brought cos it got chucked on floor.
