I had just finished laughing at the OP - especially the mother suicide bomber and her DH cowering in a corner, and was just about to poke fun at hwe "rather die than allow my children in a pub" line
when the thread went poooof.
Why?? What harm was it causing?
(I didn;t read any more so it may well have turned nasty but I'll never know now will I?)

Nope, am equally confused...

And still intrigued to know what a "middle class chav" is?

As a poor, yet classy person, I would assume she is my arch-nemesis?? Confused

Been pulled so as not to offend poor OP's obviously delicate constitution Hmm

manicbmc · 20/02/2011 22:41

Maybe someone reported it as a troll? Hmm

NL3 · 20/02/2011 22:42

Such a shame, was only on page three and enjoying it immensely

LessNarkyPuffin · 20/02/2011 22:42

Maybe pulled as deliberate trolling?

I'm not that bothered as someone outdid my biscuit display with the use of _ as a spacer Envy

cocoachannel · 20/02/2011 22:42

YANBU. Weird. Did the OP ever return?

GreenEyesandHam · 20/02/2011 22:43

Well.... some new info came to light and the OP was forced to admit that she herself had purchased a Caesar Salad, Scampi in a basket and two chicken nugget childrens meals in a Wetherspoons, in 2006.

MrsRhettButler · 20/02/2011 22:44

oh i was just starting on that thread, had just made a Brew and got comfy Sad

StealthPolarBear · 20/02/2011 22:45

I liked the biscuit displays Smile

allsquareknickersnofurcoat · 20/02/2011 22:46

anything possibly troll related rhett , set it to "view all messages" so you can at least read most of it before it gets pulled Wink

bristolcities · 20/02/2011 22:47

Grin at GreenEyesandHam

OhCobblers · 20/02/2011 22:49

balls - just about to turn to page 2 when MN's big red letters appeared!!

hate it when that happens - you just KNOW you've missed out on a "fun" one Grin

GreenEyesandHam · 20/02/2011 22:50

I don't think anything happened did it?

One poster sprang up rather enthusiastically in the OP's defence, but I don't think the OP came back

MrsRhettButler · 20/02/2011 22:50

ooooh best advice i've ever had squareknickers thank you

StealthPolarBear · 20/02/2011 22:51

so why delete?? What was the harm in the thread??

OP posts:
GreenEyesandHam · 20/02/2011 22:53

I don't know Confused

Can you delete your own threads on here, I don't even know Confused

Should I have read the rules do you think Confused :o

StealthPolarBear · 20/02/2011 22:59

No you can't
ou can ask for MNHQ to delete it and I have always found them to be very nice and helpful but they don;t have a policy of deleting simply because the OP asks iyswim - there has to be a reason

OP posts:
GreenEyesandHam · 20/02/2011 23:01

Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh

I dunno then Confused

allsquareknickersnofurcoat · 20/02/2011 23:04

anywho, last I saw, someone agreed with the OP and someone else implied that there may be sockpuppetry at play...

nothing offensive, and not a "serious" thread that would justify pulling it just for people suggesting it wasnt genuine.

unless MNHQ knew it wasnt, but wheres the fun in pulling it for that :(

NancyDrewHadaClue · 20/02/2011 23:04

Pity it was actually quite entertaining

I posted in the OP's defence, public house are not for children. If you take your kids to a pub it should only be in the pub garden where other kids are, where there are things for them to do.

Kids should not be inside pubs, it is unfair on the other patrons.

I have kids of 23 and 17 and have never taken them to the pub.

StealthPolarBear · 20/02/2011 23:08

what even if you have justt been for a long walk and are going for a pub meal?
