To think that ALL state schools don't just produce teenage pregnancies, but valuable members of society?

Funny seeing some threads, as I remember going to my godmothers DS picnic & nursery sports day, and this seemed to be the view of one parent.

It was in Hampshire though...

I just laughed.

Catnao you'll just have to do your best... scum always rises to the surface though. In my family we're all scum. We cope as best we can. When our superiors cross our paths dd and I curtsey and ds and sh tug their forelocks.

Luckily all the scum partner's side of the family are much better off and less dysfunctional than my lot of snobs people who had the best for their children, so think precious first born will be OK...

fwiw the posh etymology is unsubstantiated, LOTM - there's never been any evidence produced for that.
