THIS is a proper spa.

I am going to do a day there before we leave, even if I have to sell the kids to do so.

ClaireDeLoon · 17/02/2011 10:30

oh that looks nice - can I come with you?

MmeLindt · 17/02/2011 10:31

Yes, Claire. We will have a MN meet-up there.

moondog · 17/02/2011 10:31

I'd only be open to the idea of a 'spa; if it involved brutal hosedowns by butch Germanic types, interpersed with painful massages and a lot of rye based victuals.

lesley33 · 17/02/2011 10:32

The pool at centreparcs is great fun as an adult. I love the wave machine.

lesley33 · 17/02/2011 10:54

what is the matter with that?

MmeLindt · 17/02/2011 11:01

The first time my mum took my DD to the beach (we lived in Germany at the time she had not been before), DD got really excited and shouted, "LOOK, Granny. The WAVES are on".

She had only seen waves at Centerparcs before that.

moondog · 17/02/2011 11:05

funny

FluffyMummy123 · 17/02/2011 15:31

Excuse me, we go to Disney and Universal studios without kids, the last time we went we stayed onsite at Disney, lots of couples honeymoon at Disneyworld and it's a very popular place for gay couples too.

Are you saying I'm odd ?

DD (who is 21) wants to go with us when we go again. Smile
I'm a dibber and I'm out and proud!

MistyValley · 17/02/2011 15:54

yabu - if you go during term time there are only tiny children there, who you can surreptitiously shove out of the way as you cannon down the water chutes.

FluffyMummy123 · 17/02/2011 15:56

YANBU.

5DollarShake · 17/02/2011 16:03

There are people who do this....? Hmm

Out of all the places one can go on God's green earth, there are groups of all-adults who choose to go to Center Parcs?

B-b-b-but, whyyyyyy???

Malificence · 17/02/2011 16:06

How dare you! I don't fly from .. Gatwick!
I don't wear disney sweats either - I limit my obsession to fridge magnets. Although there was that time we were both wearing mouse ears Wink

winefairy · 17/02/2011 16:16

OMG. The pool at Center Parcs without kids would be my idea of hell. Subtropical hell. It basically a giant child soup.

dawntigga · 17/02/2011 16:19

What is the problem with you people?

FFS some people don't live by your rules and enjoy things YOU consider adults shouldn't. I'm pretty sure that your lives wouldn't live up to much scrutiny.

OP posts:
AnnoyingOrange · 17/02/2011 16:29

cod's idea of a swim is a sedate breast stroke, keeping her carefully styled hair and immaculate make-up out of the water.

She'd hate to brave the perils of the wave machine or the rapids in CP

I have friends who went to Disneyland for their Honeymoon - they are otherwise very normal people, but really? Disneyland?
