If you were formula fed, you are probably, thick, fat and/or dead/on your last legs by now.

If you were breastfed, you are probably highly intelligent, with supermodel looks and are 125/going to reach 125 (but only if you were EBF until you were 16).

AIBU?

Yes, I know a thread about a thread but I could not resist.

I was FF and subsequently died at the age of 2, soo given that I am currently decomposing I am not particularly attractive or intelligent...

Honeydragon · 16/02/2011 16:03

mamadiva Grin

nickelbabe · 16/02/2011 16:54

but mamadiva you're obviously incredibly intelligent.... Grin

Threelittleducks · 16/02/2011 17:00

FF - as part of a study in the 80's which compared babies that were ff vs BF.

Extremely skinny until pg where I hit a size 12. Back down to 8/10 now though. Huge knockers.
My boys were 10lb 9oz at birth and I breast fed both for 4 months.

Got a degree, post-grad MLitt and studying second degree. Pretty athletic. No allergies at all.

My mum had "no desire to breastfeed" as she was "no earth mother" Hmm

Conflugenglugen · 16/02/2011 17:03

YABU.

BF for three weeks, then FF exclusively.

Average height, size 10/12, degree, working towards second quali.

Had asthma and mild eczema, both of which I grew out of ... but more likely because my DM smoked and drank while she was carrying me. Hmm

Twas the 70s though!

noodle69 · 16/02/2011 17:04

I was breastfed and weigh 7 and a half stone, havent got the greatest amount of common sense but have got a degree in working with kids, never get ill ever, could eat a tub of lard and would never get fat or change eight size.

My brother FF and weighs 9 stone (is 22), is practical based but isnt really academic but is great with his hands, never gets ill and could also eat a tub of lard and not gain a pound.

We look exactly the same and we have never had health problems regardless of unhealthyish lifestyles but we were both born with brilliant genes as all my family live till really old, never put on weight and never get sick. Its all in the genes imo.

FabbyChic · 16/02/2011 17:11

FF as were my two children. I tried to BF the first child but couldn't do it, the second I never even bothered as I went back to work after five weeks.

dexifehatz · 16/02/2011 17:13

scottish mummy - yes, carnation does make wonderful tablet! :) I was BF till about 1 and a half y/o

scruffybird · 16/02/2011 17:13

Wow some peolpe really love themselves!
Is this just a thread for everyone to boast about their 4 degrees and modelling jobs?

Sassybeast · 16/02/2011 17:16

FF, weaned OBSCENELY early and have had a lifetime of digestive/gut problems to show for it so far.

BackToBasics · 16/02/2011 17:20

I was bf and i bf my 2 dc. We catch every bug you can think of! Dd has reflux.

I am still laughing at how someone can say you "catch" diabetes like it's a cold and you could catch it sat next to someone in the waiting room!Grin

shewasashowgirl · 16/02/2011 17:24

FF from birth. I am now a healthy weigh and I am educated to masters degree level.

Galdem · 16/02/2011 17:27

Breastfed for a year, weaned at 16 weeks.

Formula fed both my babies and weaned at 26 weeks (after short, painful, horrible stints at breastfeeding).

I'm fine, kids are fine. None of us are models or rocket scientists, though.

nickelbabe · 17/02/2011 11:32

scruffy it's not boasting - the OP asked specifically for us to name if we had allegies or were fat, or well educated.

WoodRose · 17/02/2011 13:09

BF for three days then Carnation with crumbled rusks if hungry. I have a PhD from Cambridge and usually wear a size 8. I have never had any allergies and have only one filling. Unfortunately, I have no modelling experience Grin.

Bubbaluv · 18/02/2011 07:55

I was BF for 3 months then FF. I have a reasonably high IQ and am tall and slim with no allergies.
My sister was BF until 10 months. She is smart but not as intellectual. She has eczema, asthma and a host of serious food allergies (or she did until she gradually grew out of them). She is slimmer than me but that would be because she lives on sashimi and salad.
My husband's brother was BF for 6 months longer than any of the other 3 children in the family and is the only one with serious allergies, asthma, eczema etc

catzcream · 18/02/2011 07:58

excl bfed for at least 6 months.

Am tall, slim and oxbridge educated. My DS (3.6) is still excl bfed. Figure he'll defo get into MIT now. Grin

nooka · 18/02/2011 08:12

Very little breastfeeding happened in my family, and my mother said that it got less and less until with me I don't think there was any. We are all fairly thin and quite intelligent. But that's really down to genetics and a relatively privileged upbringing. My big sister who got the most breast milk is the brightest and thinnest of us though.

Iwishiwasasleep · 01/03/2011 00:16

1973magpie can I ask, if you don't mind, was there a medical reason to give you carnation or was it just the done thing at the time?

BooyFuckingHoo · 01/03/2011 00:31

both BF and FF I'm gorgeous but thick as champ HTH Smile

amiheartless · 01/03/2011 00:34

Breastfed

missjulie · 01/03/2011 00:36

Formula fed, and yes, am fat!

Particles · 01/03/2011 08:28

Formula fed - my dad had ishoos with bf, was disgusted by it and also winced if I so much as mentioned it after having my dc. Strange man - often get the feeling he doesn't like women's bodies v much.

Ooh and I am usually very slim when not pregnant, honest!

Ryoko · 01/03/2011 11:21

I was on SMA, my bro (who was premature) Carnation milk with brown sugar because there was no formula milk then, my sister was BF.

I'm a size 12/14 with no known health conditions (other then being crazy), my mum says I'm the smartest.

My brother seems fine and he isn't fat, he's lanky altho he is totally paranoid about stuff.

My sister is about a size 8/10 she's a diabetic, she has blind spots in her vision and can't absorb iron so has to get iron injections from the GP, she is all so messed up in the head big time and all ways has been. (you know those kooky miserable people who never talk to anybody you see on TV living in filth with piles of newspapers and that cos they never throw things away?, thats her, she's all ways been like that and mums scared of her).

TandB · 01/03/2011 11:25

Formula fed from birth - don't think it ever crossed my mum's mind to BF as this was the 70s. If she was still around to see the big push for BFing I would imagine she would be beating herself up about not BFing me - she tried her best for me in every way possible.

Size 10. Oxford postgraduate degree and professional qualifications.

Prone to chest and ear infections though.
