sexually explicit lines from childrens TV programmes

Is it my dirty mind or are childrens TV shows full of cheeky lines?
Captain Mack is a prime example at the end of a show last week a female character asked him if he would like to have "a dip in her box" and I am sure I remember Nina and the nurons saying "it goes hard"
I supose the writers have to amuse themselves somehow

My favourite from the 1980s:

"Yes, Sarah, if you want a good lay, you need a good length".

SquirtedPerfumeUpNoseInBoots · 12/02/2011 13:32

Yabu. Nina and the neurons is a junior science programme I think. Lots of things go hard in that context. Water into ice for example.

SalvadorDalek · 12/02/2011 13:33

Benny Hill was a very funny and underrated comidian

I remember the actor from 'Press gang' saying that they constantly tried to insert as many references to sex/anal sex as possible without the producers noticing.

pointydog · 12/02/2011 13:36

Oh I don't know. They rate him very highly on the continent. The french bloody love him.

whatsbutter · 12/02/2011 13:37

when i was young, Captain Pugwashes cabin boy was called Master Bates

i certainly never noticed as a child
dont think they could get away with that one now though

AnnMarlow · 12/02/2011 13:40

I'm sure I read that the Master Bates wasn't actually true.

onimolap · 12/02/2011 13:42

AnnMarlow: sadly you're right. Seaman Staines and Roger the cabin boy are also myths.

SalvadorDalek · 12/02/2011 13:42

no he wasnt called Master Bates

Wanky sucknob

Only joking

Salmotrutta · 12/02/2011 13:42

HaHa - X-posts!

mamadiva · 12/02/2011 13:44

The Captain Pugwash thing is a myth.

I do remember an episode of Gigglebiz where someone slid under Justins legs and he said watch it, you almost hit my melons. :o

I was gutted when Benny Hill died even though I was about 6 LOL.

undercovamutha · 12/02/2011 13:44

It was actually Master Mate I think. And I don't think there was a Seaman Staines either........

undercovamutha · 12/02/2011 13:44

xposts as well!

mamadiva · 12/02/2011 13:45

Oops X-Post...

mamadiva · 12/02/2011 13:46

OnlyWantsOne · 12/02/2011 13:46

Nancy66 · 12/02/2011 13:47

I was 8 years old when the film Grease came out and happily and naively sang along to the lyrics to Greased Lightning that included such delights as:

You know that ain't shit when we're getting lots of tit

and

You are Supreme, the chicks'll cream

and

You know I ain't braggin' - she's a real pussy wagon

AuldAlliance · 12/02/2011 13:49

Master Bates is in Gulliver's Travels; but probably not the adapted versions for children...

mamadiva · 12/02/2011 13:51

I forgot about Greased Lightening, yes I do believe I sang along to that when I was akid until I realised when I was about 12 what they were singing about LOL.

pointydog · 12/02/2011 13:53

blimey, I've watched Grease abotu 200 hundred times since dd2 was 6 and I have still never noticed those lyrics.

There are lines about biting someon's wiener, of course

ednurse · 12/02/2011 14:00

hmmm I know a Master Bates IRL....

UnquietDad · 12/02/2011 14:05

John Ryan, the creator of "Captain Pugwash", used to make a bit of his living in later life by going round schools talking about his career in TV and the characters he'd created. Sadly, that urban myth about Pugwash being "rude", which has no substance whatsoever, cost him quite a few bookings!
