Feeling the need to resurrect this thread as I was about to start my own version.

Mmmh Mr Bloom. He really does cheer up the whole family. Happy toddler and happy mummy makes daddy happy too.

I think it's the air of a bloke who is around 70 in the body of a young (and rather tasty) guy. Plus now I found out he's Cornish he reminds me of a very sweet ex who had a similar demeanor. And what could be better than a guy who keeps your child entertained all day in a happy go lucky unflappable sort of outdoorsy healthy way? Not quite the tantrums and dinner in hair mess at home here.

And I also like the dancing and the hat and the wellies. Mmmh, am definitely suffering here.

I very much fancy Mr Bloom ( am sad, I know). He sounds v. sultry when he's not putting on that daft accent.

Not keen myself (looks a bit peckish for my taste) but I do get the gardener thing. My DH has a horticulture degree and spends every spare minute in the garden. It was something I found very attractive and still do. Something to do with patience and nurturing qualities!
