to deeply object to Alexandra Burke wearing skimpy costumes

Just because she has got thunder thighs? Yes, I know I am, but I would love to put a pashmina round her to save her from the deep humiliation she will feel one day when she looks back on those early days.
Plus she almost destroyed a certain song for me.

I think she's got a great figure but her stylist clearly hates her!

She was dressed up in some quasi American football outfit for one video which made her knees look like me nan's and her shoulders like the Michelin Man! And now these outfits (as in D/Mail)!

Like I said, i think she's gorgeous but she needs to get a stylist who likes her....

cat64 I was not trying to say she looked at her optimum but I was applauding the fact that she was happy to embrace her curves.Also ridiculous is a much less harsh term than hideous which the op used.

I look at the dm every day. Who cares? They've got their demographic right. And not surprisingly, at output level women dominate it from what I hear.

I think she's an attractive woman but hate the way she dresses - its not massively flattering to her but it seems that to be a pop star you have to wear that uniform.

Is that the top of her tights you can see at the bottom of her leotard?

I took DN to see her last week on her tour...
She looked fab!
Yes she seemed overconfident but I took it as her 'stage act'.
Why are we not celebrating that a woman who is certainly no more than a size 12 has the confidence to show her figure off.
I didn't realise that woman were not allow to have body confidence if we dare to be over a size 8.

YABVU, she has one stunning body. Now if you were talking about me and my spare tyres I would have more sympathy. Why should she cover up, so only those who look like rakes should expose themselves Hmm. Whats this type of attitude telling our daughters?

The only thing that saddens me is the sexism that means no young woman can have a career in pop music unless she prances about in her knickers.
