to wonder if there is an ethical/moral problem with selling, say, your shoes on eBay for fetishists?

I have just been discussing that webcam/escorting thread with DP, and while I don't feel that doing that is a terribly good idea, and goes against my own principles, he asked me if I thought that selling shoes on eBay for inflated prices knowing they were being bought by fetishists was the same thing...I don't think it is. I've never done it, but I can't say I object to it, as I don't care what somebody does with the shoes once they've bought them. It's not like they are objectifying me, or women even, so is it just as bad?

What do you all think?

I have a erm....friend, who in university, she erm, sold her used underwear on Ebay to weirdos, for £10 a time. She made a killing. Good for her. Let's not judge her, for now she is a reformed character after finding God.

Hides thread sharpish.

BitOfFun · 11/02/2011 00:14

Haha- I tend to think that is quite enterprising actually. But I am willing to be educated if I am wrong.

Thing is, I have tried this. And it is not actually that profitable at all unless you are prepared to spend hours bigging yourself up in Ebay chat forums or indeed other such chat forums.
Nothing unethical in it, though. No harm being done to any living being by someone jizzing in a pair of used shoes.
I suppose the more hysterical monogamists will have to point out that someone who buys strangers' shoes to wank in might be MARRIED! and therefore you are a SLUT because the money he spends on buying your shoes could have been spent on paying the gas bill or buying his wifey some flowers, but then that could apply just as easily to a rare Hornby model or a bottle of wine or tickets to a football match, really.

Hint-Primark Pumps/flats go down well on kinkbay

TheButterflyCollector · 11/02/2011 00:24

:o @ StuffingGoldBrass. I agree with your outlook OP but sadly don't have the wit to express my opinion as smartly as Solid.

I sold my son's used skanky stinky 8 year old Nike's on Ebay, for a laugh.

Listed them as 'well worn, used by a schoolboy from age 12, these really are dirty and stinky and disgusting.........

Plus put photo's on of his legs modelling said trainers dropping to bits.

I had loads of watchers........... they were all the folk I'd told on there that I was listing them for a laugh!

They sold for the 99p starting bid and I hope the winner got his rocks off in them!!!!!!

New poster Betty?

Why am I not surprised Hmm

When I was a student I thought I'd solve my financial and laundry problems in one go - wear knickers, sell worn knickers on eBay for 10x original price, weekly shop for new ones.

I never got around to seeing if it would work (was given accommodation with a coin op washing machine) and was too lazy busy studying to see if there was a market in used M&S Bridget Jones style bigknickers. Thinking of it now, I suspect there wouldn't have been.

Tried to sell reusable nappies on eBay once boys had grown out of them (washed of course) and had the listing removed with the curt comment that used underwear was not permitted for sale.

bettyswollocks16 · 11/02/2011 01:36

Thingumy, yes, a new ID for today but I've been on here a while previously.

HecateQueenOfWitches · 11/02/2011 07:29

I would do it.

I regularly think about selling pants.

Apparently there is a market for really HUGE, been worn, big old pants, but they have to be disgustingly smelly.

I thought I could drain a can of tuna through them and sell them for £50 each.

My husband is not so keen. Grin

We could really use the money right now though.

Shoes don't have feelings and it is OK to objectify actual objects.

TrillianAstra · 11/02/2011 07:41

:o at 'it's ok to objectify actual objects'

YouRmysunshine · 11/02/2011 08:01

why stop at shoes!! off to ebay to look up panties

YouRmysunshine · 11/02/2011 08:05

wonders if there is a goodtime girl on this site

AtYourCervix · 11/02/2011 08:10

so if i were to offer my massive worn pants for sale, theoreticaly of course, how would i go about this?

YouRmysunshine · 11/02/2011 08:14

i would imagine you would need to photograph yourself in them - post on ebay and hope you get more than 99p!

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 11/02/2011 08:15

I don't have a problem with selling them would have a problem with the chat, oh and might need a seperate account Grin

YouRmysunshine · 11/02/2011 09:49

So, this is the deal right - there is a chat forum on ebay, you go on there, give it some dirty chat (like you coudlnt pick up enough tips on here!) to some old pervert gentleman. You then put your soiled underwear up to the highest bidder?

Sounds like a plan!! mind you i guess you are going to have to cover the cost of the panties!!

Changeisagoodthing · 11/02/2011 09:53

They stopped the selling of used underwear about 8 years ago. Any listing will be pulled an and if you persist the account suspended.

Shoes are allowed hoaevervit is a bandwagon that everyone is on and the price has dropped so not really worth it (odd exceptions some well known sellers, some who take interesting pictures of their glamorous selves modelling shoes etc)

YouRmysunshine · 11/02/2011 10:00

:(

FabbyChic · 11/02/2011 10:01

It is actually against eBay policy to sell used/dirty/worn shoes.

I think there is something tacky about it, what's the word oh yeah sleazy.

socialhandgrenade · 11/02/2011 10:10

bettyswollocks16 - doesn't the thought of someone perving over the photo of your CHILD in his shoes make you feel i'll??
Are you for real
