Some Radley handbags are quite stylish

9 times out of 10 "curvy" = fat and people are deluding themselves into thinking otherwise.

Child benefit should be for the first 2 children only - anyone who wants a bigger family should pay for it themselves.

Just because your little prince/princess is the centre of your universe, does not mean that they are the centre of my universe. It is quite likely I actually think they are behaving like a brat and you are a complete idiot while you smile indulgently rather than dealing with it.

The current government is going to completely ruin this country (Ok this one is quite popular near me but I doubt it is on here!)

When I am out walking my dog please keep your annoying toddler away from me, they are not cute, they are just irritating. I control my dog, please control your child.

Anyone who hates animals is just weird.

Tattoos and piercings can look awesome and in any case they are a personal choice. People who judge them as "chavy" or insert other negative description here are smug wankers - actually, make that anyone who judges someone else purely because of what they look like is a total wanker.

Incorrect grammar/spellings are not a big deal as long as what is written is understandable, especially on internet forums!

I am in a really bitchy mood tonight Blush, but that was fun :)

May as well resign myself to some kind of totalitarian regime if some of the posts on this thread are legit.

Poor people will be rounded up and forced into slavery, people will be forced to pass a test to have children. Those who do manage to breed against regulation will be forcibly sterilised. We will all bow to consumerism, wear the same thing, because we would be offending people otherwise.

All children must achieve milestones by a certain age or be chucked into some kind of disabled bin. We must not deviate from the norm from birth to death, especially be tattooed or pierced. we will conform, to societal trends.

God forbid we become useless, determined by the myriad cctv camera's (probably installed in the poor peoples homes, for their own good we understand)

Then we will be dispatched, along with the over breeders, for our own good you understand.

Apart from the "light hearted bollocks" this is what this thread says to me.

There are some very very worrying attitudes displayed.

TheLeftFelanji · 08/02/2011 02:22

Muminthecity - I'm certainly not ignorant, being married into a muslim family and viewing first hand how these people disrespect the western society. Some to the point where women, out of fear they might become westernised like the English natives are taught at strict islamic schools and then not allowed to work or mix with English people (or the Infidels/Kaffirs as they are known). How often do you see a woman in a hijab walking along with a native English woman? Rarely? You'll Never see this. The very concept of a muslim mixing with an infidel is unacceptable in the stricter muslim communities. The woman would be ostracised. They are not allowed to mix and the Blonde woman who drinks and goes to the pub etc are de-humanised by muslims. Recently a midlands sex gang have been caught abusing English girls (who are probably regarded as whores) while they go back to their hijab wearing good muslim wife. The government has only now started suggesting muscular liberalism. Please open your eyes. It's very easy to understand : isolation and intolerance in islamic communities = homegrown terrorism. Tolerance of intolerance = sitting ducks.

TheLeftFelanji · 08/02/2011 02:27

I'm sure I'll get a lot of crap on here for having a very controversial opinion but I feel much better saying it for some reason.

blackletterday · 08/02/2011 02:43

Not sure you will get flack TheLeftFalangi, I hung out with quite a few Muslim males growing up. They were 100% hypocritical bastards. happy to shag girls, but condemning them as whores.

I had so many interesting conversations regarding judgement day with these idiots. Obviously it is good to observe Ramadan, they will certainly go to heaven, along with no alcohol. Obviously shagging white girls and more pot than you can shake a stick at is allowed Hmm. I had this argument many times, seemed like they were in denial, or just couldn't give a shit.

blackletterday · 08/02/2011 02:52

Must admit though I hung about with quite a lot of Muslim Women at Uni, Obviously most Muslim men are decent people and are faithful.

Some though, blimey, I had so many arguments, not being the type to randomly shag, I was there as the random arguee I think.

BaroqueAroundTheClock · 08/02/2011 02:57

" How often do you see a woman in a hijab walking along with a native English woman? Rarely? You'll Never see this. "

I've walked along (I'm "native" white English btw) with a "native" English (white) woman wearing a hijab (her not me).

And I often see (asian) (probably born and bred English though given their local accents Grin) women walking along in town with women of all colours.

BaroqueAroundTheClock · 08/02/2011 03:27

oooo - I missed this bit

"They are not allowed to mix and the Blonde woman who drinks and goes to the pub etc are de-humanised by muslims."

I'm blonde, and I smoke, and the day I met up with the (white, English) Muslim wearing a hijab irrc I had a glass of wine with my lunch.

And really if you're going to ban the hijab - then I think hats, and hooded jackets/coats/hoodies should be banned too, oh and scarves.

Oh - and don't forget to ban the Nun's from wearing their habit as they are exactly like a hijab.

People who leave school at 16 and refuse to work are lazy b***s.

Benefits for children should not be paid for more that 3 children. If you want a big family then go for it but don't expect the state to pick up the bill. This is mostly directed at people that don't work I have to add.

Alouiseg · 08/02/2011 07:36

Still loving this thread. Good Morning you rabble rousing, euthanising, clothing banning, word policing dictators :o

TyraG · 08/02/2011 07:38

Okay checked out the menu for Chiquito's and I hate to break it to you, but Jambalaya is not a Mexican dish (they have it listed under Mexican Favorites and Mexican Classics on two different menus) it is a Cajun dish.

I've been cooking meals from Jessica Seinfeld's Deceptively Delicious cookbook. I initially started doing so in order to get my kids eating more veggies, but now I'm getting more as well and I love the recipes!!

I love vampires, have since I was about 18 or 19, but my favorites are Katie MacAlister's Moravian Dark Ones and Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunters.

I don't get the saggy butt jeans, never have. If I wanted to see your underwear, I'd be sleeping with you. Pull your fucking jeans up, go to the store and buy some that fit ffs!!!

ThePosieParker · 08/02/2011 07:51

People on benefits should eat out of bins, if they can afford curtains, carpets and food they're clearly getting too much money.

[has this been said already?]

deepheat · 08/02/2011 08:06

I have never met an intelligent person who believes in conspiracy theories.

Most politicians are actually decent people who work hard.

People should not use genuine cases of long-term illness/sickness/disability to argue against efforts to get more people on sickness benefits into work.

Stupid people are always certain about everything they say and think.

Like this thread. Cheers.

ThePosieParker · 08/02/2011 08:12

Baroque.....Habits are not like Hijabs. I've never seen a normal Catholic follower walk along covered with her pre pubescent children covered also, a nun is part of the church.

Stangirl · 08/02/2011 08:25

All the adult women I have know with "food allergies" are just using it as an excuse to hide anorexia/bulimia.

Smoking in the under 30s looks cool - always has, always will.

I hate really tidy houses - think it shows a lack of imagination.

Smoking makes you smell.

You might not think you smell, but you do. You smell of smoke. You and your clothes and your hair smell of smoke, even if you only ever smoke outside.

(this opinion only unpopular with smokers)

deepheat · 08/02/2011 09:00

Trillian Nah, I smoke and I agree with you. But bearing in mind these are unpopular opininons, here's my smoking related one:

Men who smoke can look cool, but women who smoke can't, ubless they're Audrey Hepburn.

deepheat · 08/02/2011 09:02

Apologies. Unless. I have a cold.

Abr1de · 08/02/2011 09:10

We should explain to people that having four or five children (whether they are Bangladeshi immigrants or rich upper middle classes) has huge implications for the countryside: all those children will eventually want homes and cars.

We can not afford to lose more green space in the south of England--the countryside is our children's heritage.

Lowering university admission standards for state school applicants will only encourage low standards among state schools, who will have little incentive to improve.

loveydovey · 08/02/2011 09:15

people who make up percentages without actually knowing the facts.

deepheat · 08/02/2011 09:17

Which is at least 62% of people, studies show.

I like it...
