Am I?

I have seen loads of threads where OP makes a case but somewhere in the discussion, the whole issue collapses and other people take over and start talking about other stuff!

It's annoying especially if you have made an effort to say your views!!!C'mon nos, start your own thread.

ok, rant over, let's change the subject! LOL

Awful weather here today..............

pagwatch · 25/01/2011 18:15

Yabu

The best threads always start as something else.

Sorry.
Smile

BALD · 25/01/2011 18:15

meh

tis the nature of fora innit

RustyBear · 25/01/2011 18:15

It's one of the things I love most about MN - the way a thread can start off asking if MN is a Christian site and end up in a discussion of which biscuits are most favoured by which denomination......

ditzymare · 25/01/2011 18:15

Anyone doing anything nice at the weekend Grin

Sorry YANBU

MrsDeidreIppy · 25/01/2011 18:15

Does anyone know how to get watermarks out of boots?

unfitmother · 25/01/2011 18:16

Have you tried polishing over them?

hatwoman · 25/01/2011 18:16

a thread is a conversation. conversations evolve.

WimpleOfTheBallet · 25/01/2011 18:17

On the subject of boots, do you think IABU to wear Dunlop wellies?

Hullygully · 25/01/2011 18:17

Do you find conversation difficult in general?

HecateQueenOfWitches · 25/01/2011 18:18

Yes.

That's not how conversations go. They move from subject to subject.

Threads on here are not so much single issue debates as chats that start somewhere and move on. and on and on and on Grin

I love that on mumsnet you can start a thread about, oh I dunno, governmental efforts to ensure equality and within 30 posts you are talking about neo-nazi hamsters.

I mean, come on, where else are you going to get that?

I bloody love it.

MrsDeidreIppy · 25/01/2011 18:21

unfitmother does that work on soft boots though?

Whats everyone had for tea?

jumpingcastles · 25/01/2011 18:21

No I love conversations and i know they evolve but i am still annoyed by it.

Hullygully · 25/01/2011 18:37

Do you get equally annpyed in RL if things go off topic?

unfitmother · 25/01/2011 18:39

Not sure about soft boots, sorry.
I'm having haggis for tea of course! [bgrin]

MmeLindt · 25/01/2011 18:39

Generally, I find that very irritating, YANBU.

Which reminds me, we are going to Scotland this year on holiday, does anyone know any good B&Bs up the West coast?

Hullygully · 25/01/2011 18:39

Haggis is a most effective cleaning agent on soft felt slippers.

OracleInaCoracle · 25/01/2011 18:39

yes, YABU.

I made a great spag bol this evening!

SauvignonBlanche · 25/01/2011 18:40

I'm having haggis too, anyone else? [bsmile]

Hullygully · 25/01/2011 18:40

I made a funny dinner that dd has just commented is "a bit too red."

MmeLindt · 25/01/2011 18:41

No haggis in Switzerland.

Thank goodness.

SauvignonBlanche · 25/01/2011 18:41

What was red about it?

Whereabouts on the West Coast?

MmeLindt · 25/01/2011 18:42

Don't know. Where should we go?

Furthest north we have been is Oban/Fort William.

Maybe Skye?

Just me and DH

Hullygully · 25/01/2011 18:42

All of it really
