Am I?

I have seen loads of threads where OP makes a case but somewhere in the discussion, the whole issue collapses and other people take over and start talking about other stuff!

It's annoying especially if you have made an effort to say your views!!!C'mon nos, start your own thread.

ok, rant over, let's change the subject! LOL

DH is German and was MOST astonished to see battered Pizza on offer in the premier Chipper of my hometown.

I love Oban, it is so quaint and silly, with the huge folly perched on the hill.

Hullygully · 25/01/2011 19:12

Outer Hebrides quite quite the thing. And those isles where they make whisky (Jura?), tho the memory of them is a bit blurry.

Honeydragon · 25/01/2011 19:12

Ooooh battered pizza ..... It shouldn't taste nice but it so does

JamieLeeCurtis · 25/01/2011 19:12

Plockton was the place I couldn't remember

We stayed in a lovely little place on the harbour-front in Ullapool - will try and find. This was about 12 years ago, though

I read it as battered cervix. Thought it must be Heston Blumenthal.

Jamie
The scenery is gorgeous and the house looks lovely, but the wallpaper! With the patchwork quilt!

MmeLindt · 25/01/2011 19:15

Pearces is great, Beertricks. And very central.

MmeLindt · 25/01/2011 19:15

Pearce's

jumpingcastles · 25/01/2011 19:16

This is good

Thank you MN for making me chuckle, i have now lost the plot!

Beertricks ... Yes normally but due to a balls up On their system last year she was done late so now I am assuming it will be one year from last jab as normally she would be due about now, but of it's a year from the last one that's feb / march . I wanted to check dates as she will need her arse squeezing as well soon and I don't want to pay £20.00 for the privilege when I can get it done with her annual check up Hmm

Grin

I think the Ullapool one was the Waterside B and B. Right on the water front. Small. Lovely

(Disclaimer - had lower standards then, there may have been mis-matched decor of a disturbing nature)

My friend lives in Plockton; we have an open invite

ChippingInSmellyCheeseFreak · 25/01/2011 19:21

MmeLindt - you might get a few suggestions from the thread I started about Scotland here Everyone was really helpful! I now think I may have to move to Scotland to see it all [bgrin]

emmanana · 25/01/2011 19:21

And isn't annoying when threads become incestuous and 3 or 4 old ones join in the conversation.
Says she 'surrounded by fairy lights, waiting for my Fray Bentos pie to come out of the oven, as I fret over the people who have not RSVP'd to party invitations, get irritated by wedding invitations with holiday voucher requests'
I see what you're saying OP, but isn't that half the point of a lively conversation Smile

JamieLeeCurtis · 25/01/2011 19:24

Have been meaning to take the DCs on the Sleeper. But am concerned about a) cost and b) them sullying the romance of DH and I's (?grammar) most lovely pre-DC holidays

Tolalola · 25/01/2011 19:27

YES the sleeper! I remember that from going to visit my great-grandmother in Penzance when I was little. I thought it was the most exciting thing ever.

I'd love to take DP and DS on the sleeper to Scotland when we come to the UK in the summer. DP has never been to Scotland Shock

How many people can you fit in a sleeper car? Is it 2?

JamieLeeCurtis · 25/01/2011 19:28

I think they can open up adjoining doors so you can get 4 in
