I'm fed up with being told that I don't understand the real world because I earn so much, that I shouldn't drive my daughter 1/2 mile to school in my Range Rover, that private schools are elitist and places I use to keep my children away from 'the poor', that I should consider myself 'lucky' that I live in luxury and that I shouldn't tell my children to be selective about what sort of people their friends are.

Well, I'm proud of my family's hard work and I think I can live my life as I please. And yes, people ARE responsible for their own destinies and we SHOULD judge more.

OP posts:
mutznutz · 22/01/2011 21:58

Hahaha.. I am having champagne and hotel chocolat. Really. (mutters something inaudible) Hmm

MillyR · 22/01/2011 21:58

What is wrong with rum and coke?

PatTheHammer · 22/01/2011 21:58

Get you with your posh chocs, I've just had 6 Rolos adn a cup of teaBlush

pascoe28 · 22/01/2011 22:00

OP - Well, as a way of smoking the lefties out, your post certainly worked and for that (if only that, for it was a tad provocative, I will admit), I commend you.

The central premise - that we should stand or fall based on what we achieve or fail to achieve in life, is sound.

I hope the plump, lazy, self-righteous and self-indulgent Mums, who have sucked on the teat of New-Labour-State-support for far too long, reflect on your words and change their ways...for the sake of their state-funded children, if not their own souls.

If not, they will be oh so sorry in the coming months Grin

mutznutz · 22/01/2011 22:00

Well I don't mind being poor...I do my best. I cut a hole in my son's underpants on Christmas morning so he'd have something to play with when he woke up... Grin

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 22/01/2011 22:01

Tsk - has the OP not come back to defend her schemey choice of car and her inability (or reluctance) to walk the length of herself? Hate it when that happpens...

bumpsoon · 22/01/2011 22:01

Oh and daaahhling hope the range rover isnt a current 'pimp up my transit' version ,for real authenticity it should be at least 15 years old ,with a buggered suspension from driving around the 'estate' Wink

skirt · 22/01/2011 22:02

She hasnt come back cos its lights out at ten

sherby · 22/01/2011 22:02
pagwatch · 22/01/2011 22:07

Oh why the Hmm mutz.

Is it a crime that a sad old bag, stuck at ho me on her own on a sat night polishes off some champagne that has been sitting in the fridge with a stopper in for two weeks. And we got hotel chocolate for Christmas.

It was a joke. Or are only the rum and coke or cider ones self mocking?

Rainydaze · 22/01/2011 22:08

Driving for 1/2 mile? Shame on you, seriously.

mutznutz · 22/01/2011 22:10

This kind of post is bound to incite some er... Strong replies! You are entitled to be fed up if people have a fo at you for doing well and if you work hard and have earned your lifestyle, there is nothing wron with that and you have nothing to feel bad about!

MrIckle · 22/01/2011 22:10

Interesting post. Unsubtle and a bit needy though. Do you feel better or would you like to list a few more bits and pieces that you feel clearly 'set you apart'as something 'a bit special' - not that you need to apologise for it though...

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 22/01/2011 22:11

If she's driving 1/2 to school in the RR then it's not on the estate, is it? Which means it's a current one, probably with a personalised reg and a shiney bodywork. Chavtastic!!

mutznutz · 22/01/2011 22:11

But sorry anyway...the Hmm face was me pretending you were posh and being jealous of your choccies (which by the way I have just swiped while you were reading this)...you snooze you lose Wink

iwanttolearn · 22/01/2011 22:12

All I can say is don't judge a book by the cover.

I know a few outstanding people who are well educatedand have achieved more than you ever will and they aren't rich..

I know a nobel prize nominee who is disabled, in fact.....

Don't think you're above other people. You aren't.

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 22/01/2011 22:14

Some of you are taking this wayyyyyy to seriously. She's a complete numpty - ignore it!

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 22/01/2011 22:14

too

baskingseals · 22/01/2011 22:15

op - why do you care what other people think?

SWhat's it to you? If your life is that great, live it and stop looking over your shoulder at everyone else.

mutznutz · 22/01/2011 22:16

Am I the only one thinking the OP has skipped off to change her name again after starting this wind up thread? Grin

pagwatch · 22/01/2011 22:16

Oh thank god.

Don't do the Hmm face... It reminds me if my mother.

Grin
iwanttolearn · 22/01/2011 22:17

I'm very rich Grin

That's why I'm eating sausage rolls and crisps, they're imported, you know! Forget the champagne, too expensive to ship it here.

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 22/01/2011 22:18

Agree Mutz! OK - jokes over - which one of you started this thread??!
