It's mainly used by one particular poster, who has very good reasons to use it.

figcake · 21/01/2011 22:21

Nah - I've seen more than one using it actually.

YADNBU i can't stand it either. I know people who say it in RL.Confused

Beamur · 21/01/2011 22:21

I think its quite witty and YABU
What if your manshape is not your hubby? Like mine for instance.

cuppatino · 21/01/2011 22:22

Oh I thought it was more widely used than that. Sorry to who ever it is for picking on you.

2shoes · 21/01/2011 22:22

OP posts:
tallwivglasses · 21/01/2011 22:24

Not 'hubby' please, Nooooo! (I've said this before but it's a bit Terry and June for my liking)

Manshape implies love, maybe even a bit of lovely sex.

Sadly I don't have a manshape atm, or even a sillhouette on the horizon. I do, however have a fuckwit/twat/twunt ExP. I love to hear that 'manshapes' are out there somewhere!

2shoes · 21/01/2011 22:25

it just does to me, it seems so ......not nice.
this was in aibu I just stated why i don't like the word.
I don't expect people to feel the same

giyadas · 21/01/2011 22:25

manshape = anti-men? Confused

ilythia · 21/01/2011 22:25

ffs, not this again.

And hubby is truly, truly boaksome.

ONE poster uses this, and she has a damn good reason (no that that matters) and others are copying her. Get some persepctive ffs.

giyadas · 21/01/2011 22:25

sorry, x-post.

thisisyesterday · 21/01/2011 22:25

i don't like it much either, although that's fairly irrational, cos I can't really say what it is I dislike about it

2shoes · 21/01/2011 22:26

Confused back at ya
have aAngry as well
oh and aHmm

ilythia · 21/01/2011 22:26

I dont read it as anti men, it's the manshaped person in the house, hence manshape.

At elast it's nto twatshape.

AtYourCervix · 21/01/2011 22:27

notkeen but it's only Deeented who ususe it and she's nice so i don't care.

just as long as NOBODY eles does.

JoBettany · 21/01/2011 22:27

YANBU - I really don't like it either.

Memoo · 21/01/2011 22:27

Why is it anti-man? I really dont get it

figcake · 21/01/2011 22:27

"and others are copying her"
well, that is part of the problem. Kindly /link share that reason to save me the bother of trawling through past threads. Was obv not that personal.

OP posts:
2shoes · 21/01/2011 22:28

good grief

ilythia · 21/01/2011 22:28

I tyhink that's up to dee to share if she wants tbh. YANBU to dislike a term, YABU to start a thread about a word and offer to replace it with soemthing just as irritating to people though.
