This blinking baby could GET OUT before I explode? I am 40+4, have never been this overdue before and am fat and fed up.

Do some jogging! Hope the baby comes soon

Honeydragon · 20/01/2011 21:26

I was only thinking about you today.... sorry you haven't evicted the baby yet LL.

AnyoneforTurps · 20/01/2011 21:34

Do something that will make it really inconvenient for labour to start e.g. drive to a remote cottage up a muddy track that's impassable for 10 months of the year and where there's no mobile coverage or agree to babysit for a friend's triplets while she has major surgery. Your waters are guaranteed to break within the hour.

TickettyBoo · 20/01/2011 21:37

Aw bless you! Lots of luck for the birth - hope it's soon!! Like now!!! lol x

BelleDameSansMerci · 20/01/2011 21:39

Raspberry leaf tea?

Hope it all goes well when it happens.Smile

TheEvilDead2 · 20/01/2011 23:20

41 weeks today LL and just about still sane!

Deciduousblonde · 20/01/2011 23:21

Get sexy. Eat some fresh pineapple. Your choice what you do first Grin

Idlewild · 20/01/2011 23:28

Go for a very, very long walk up and down some hills. MW told me to do that at 40 plus 2. There were a few raised eyebrows in our town at the hugely pregnant lady striding grimly through the streets with exasperated DH scurrying behind her. Worked though. Contractions started within 11 or so hours and out popped DD2 5 hours after that.

Good luck and, if it makes you feel better, most people seem to throw a strop like this just before things get going. Reckon it'll be tonight, or tomorrow morning. Come back and let us know!

mutznutz · 20/01/2011 23:29

Oh you have my every sympathy OP...I was 14 days over with my first...12 days over with my 2nd and bang on time (due to a sweep and the fact they actually bloody recognised my periods were every 32 fucking days bang on every month) with my 3rd.

The worst thing (and it made me want to rip people's heads off and shit down their throats) was people looking at me and uttering the words "Haven't you had that baby yet?"

Yes of course I fucking have...I just decided to shove a friggin bowling ball down my leggings for the sheer fucking thrill of it Angry

{yes...still angry 19yrs later} Blush

mutznutz..I got the ole chestnut ''oh, you still here then?'' to which I longed to reply ''No, I'm a fucking hologram!!!!''

Hopefully you've had baby by now Grin

Deciduousblonde · 21/01/2011 13:25

Hopefully they have both had a baby by now Grin

woopsidaisy · 21/01/2011 13:40

Is there anything as uncomfortable as the final few days of pregnancy-excepting conditions/illness obvs.
I swear it is a torturous process...
Lying in bed, having to "plan" how you are going to turn over/get up...
Hoisting yourself like a ten tonne elephant off the sofa...
Waddling everywhere....
Who came up with the idea that this would be a good way to bring new life into the world?!
For the record I had completely trouble free pregnancies, but Lordy,I complained enough. You would have thought I was have sextuplets!
Much sympathy Ladies.

CardyMow · 21/01/2011 15:42

Nope. Still here. Still pregnant. Am currently 40+5. Am sure this is going to be a baby elephant and stay inside for 18 months. Have tried everything. Have been drinking raspberry leaf tea daily since 37 weeks. Not working. Ate industrial quantities of fresh pineapple last week. Nothing. Had a hot curry and a bit of how's your father last Saturday. Nothing. Also spent 3 hrs trawling round town last weekend. Didn't help. Have resigned myself to being pregnant forever now, and evilly hormonal and grumpy and unable to move or stay awake for more than 4 hrs at a time!

OOOOOhhhhh TED2! Am most Envy at your waters breaking! Hope everything is going OK for you, and you have your baby in your arms soon!

Deciduousblonde · 21/01/2011 15:50

Loudlass...get on that 'hows your father' again asap. Do the cowgirl (I found it was the only way I could do it anyhow) and ride like the wind..

Sorry for the TMI, but prostaglandin when the bubba is ready is a good thing..it might not have been ready last saturday, but it should be by now.

Failing that I can come round with some calfing ropes? Grin

TheEvilDead2 · 22/01/2011 21:00
