Other people (I.e. Not my family) doing a poo in my toilet?

The thought of it creeps me out. Am I the only one?

yes, you are a freak

Udderly · 16/01/2011 22:47

No, I know EXACTLY what you mean. I find it rude I think. I only noticed that it bothered me recently. Take your poo to your own house thanks

I don't like it either. But I know I'm being unreasonable.

Misfitless · 16/01/2011 22:47

That's extremely ...odd! Do you have other OCD tendencies?

friedtoacrisp · 16/01/2011 22:48

Would you prefer them to shit in your garden?

TheMonster · 16/01/2011 22:48

YANBU.

Littlefish · 16/01/2011 22:48

Ha ha ha. You are a freak.

Udderly are you seriously suggesting that people should only poo in their own houses? How on earth can it be rude?

When people need to poo, they need to poo.

NinjaChipmunk · 16/01/2011 22:48

too many people on MN have poo issues. I remember the thread about whether people poo at work and so many people were horrified about doing it they held it in for the whole day!
why does it freak you out?
YABU btw!

Misfitless · 16/01/2011 22:49

Personally I would never do a poo in anyone else's toilet, but that's not the same as stressing out about someone else doing one in mine!

Butternutsquash22 · 16/01/2011 22:49

Like h2bs friend was just over, and went for a poo. I would never do one at someone elsewhere house, I'd be terrified in case it left a smell!!

I don't have any other OCD tendencies, and am not really the cleanest person ever housework-wise, so not sure why it bothers me so much...

IAmTheCookieMonster · 16/01/2011 22:50

isn't that what toilets are for?

mutznutz · 16/01/2011 22:50

Would you prefer them to shit in your garden?

Sorry...I'm literally in tears laughing here!! Grin

nannynobnobs · 16/01/2011 22:50

Good grief. A toilet's a toilet. Do you not use toilets in pubs/on train/in shopping centre because it's not the designated drop zone? I don't care who uses mine as long as they flush and put the extractor fan on :)

FunnysInTheGarden · 16/01/2011 22:52

Butter - you've made me think now .. oh no I hate it when this happens. I think it might be becoming an issue for me, too, as we speak! Look what you've done! I don't want to be a freak like you Grin

FudgeGirl · 16/01/2011 22:53

I hate having to go at work but I have to sometimes, increasingly since I've been having some related problems (I call it a PAW) Grin I carry a can of Impulse body spray and always use it after I've been.

I wouldn't like to have to go at someone else's house but sometimes needs must. I'd rather that than end up being ill.

MIL has a colostomy and DP made a comment after she'd left the other day that bless her, she'd used the downstairs loo to change, used air freshener and everything but he could still tell (growing up with that I suppose) and I would HATE for her to feel uncomfortable about it. In fact I was pleased she felt she could go at our house as it can't be easy for her.

GreenEyesandHam · 16/01/2011 22:53

Right ok, well this is one I can't really say I've given much brain-time to....

Ok well, no. It doesn't bother me.

Unless I suppose, they tucked one of my magazines under their arm and announced they were off to 'drop the kids at the pool'.

Or the rest of us had to raise our voices slightly, to be heard over the sounds of the grunting and straining.

I could never poo in somebody elses house though. Ever

Karaishere · 16/01/2011 22:55

I don't care who takes a shit in my toilet but I don't ever do a dump in other peoples houses though as I find I can't 'go' Blush

FudgeGirl · 16/01/2011 22:56

Yeah, I used to feel like that Kara. As I say, things change and sometimes needs must!

Butternutsquash22 · 16/01/2011 22:57

A toilet in a pub or another public place is different, because it's a public toilet, whereas mine is private and I want to know what goes in it...

And he did leave the room telling us he was going for a dump. The whole time he was away I was on edge

I'm aware that it's a but weird, but it's reassuring that there a are a few people who understand lol.

OP posts:
FunnysInTheGarden · 16/01/2011 22:57

oh I can shit anywhere me Grin

ThisFeelsWeird · 16/01/2011 22:58

I'm the same! I'm sure my PILs save it all up till they come to visit us and then it's one after another straight into the loo the minute they get in the door. I find it really gross.

I only go in someone else's house if I really have to.

HelenBa · 16/01/2011 22:58

YAprobablyBU unless they picked up one of your books on the way (I HATE that)
