to think our neighbours are bloody weird...

I heard whale noises last week. Fine in isolation... then there was a jack russell from somewhere at 3am. Then I hear stilettos walking from one corner of the room to the nexr. Last night someone split marbles on the floor, followed by sex and then a fight.

I found their baby alone in the car park down stairs in her car seat. I waited with her and the Dad was round the corner having a fag, it seems.

They leave their pram in the car park in all weather. It smells now.

Am I being seriously judgemental or are these people strange?

MYOB (except for baby left in car park bit)....why you smelling their pram?

AgentZigzag · 16/01/2011 00:16

You have some 'interesting' neighbours, apart from them leaving their baby out, how did the dad react when he saw you waiting with her?

renlovesyou · 16/01/2011 00:16

You can smell it as you walk past. Its by the bins.

He shouted Oh hello! And commented how quiet our baby was. He obviously cant hear him over the sound of whales.

Binfullofmaggotsonthe45 · 16/01/2011 00:18

Could that be the bins?

renlovesyou · 16/01/2011 00:19

Its the pram. For sure. Its gotten gradually worse with the rain, theres no cover.

ILoveItWhenYouCallMeBoo · 16/01/2011 00:24

mybe the smell i sthe reason why they left it out. cat piss?

renlovesyou · 16/01/2011 00:25

Ive seen them using the thing. The pram is not the weirdest behaviour though...

OP posts:
charliesmommy · 16/01/2011 00:27

do they ever actually use the pram or where they hoping the bin men would take it?

charliesmommy · 16/01/2011 00:29

actually.. having read the Op again...

how do you know it was a jack russell

how do you know it was marbles

and how do you know they were having sex.. or a fight... could that be their tv?..

do you sit there in silence listening for these people to make some noise??? lol!

AgentZigzag · 16/01/2011 00:32

I wondered that too charlie, but it's amazing what you find to do when there's fuck all else on.

renlovesyou · 16/01/2011 00:34

Its astonishingly loud. The sex woke up DP and even MY sex doesnt Blush

OnEdge · 16/01/2011 00:35

LOL !!!

OnEdge · 16/01/2011 00:36

Strange

charliesmommy · 16/01/2011 00:37

Also, if the pram was by the bins.. how do you know it is the pram and not the bins that smell..

Did you go up and sniff the pram?

I think you may have some neighbours who think you are the weird one Wink

renlovesyou · 16/01/2011 00:39

Ive watched the pram over a series of months, along with the weird night time behaviour.

I do feel a little like Im in 'Rear Window'

OP posts:
Clunge · 16/01/2011 00:40

You're sitting in your home listening to random noises, sniffing pushchairs etc and they're the weird ones? Grin

charliesmommy · 16/01/2011 00:41

Are you sure they use that pram.. or could they have a non smelly identical one?

AgentZigzag · 16/01/2011 00:41

I'm not into old films, but I love Rear Window Smile

I justify my nosiness with 'forewarned is forearmed', and that I'm being a concerned neighbour Grin

friedtoacrisp · 16/01/2011 00:42

So you're stalking the pram? And you think they're weird? Riiiiiiight.

Doodlez · 16/01/2011 00:43

I always open threads with titles about weird neighbours with a slight feeling on unease in case I read about myself BlushGrin

charliesmommy · 16/01/2011 00:45

Well I would get worried if I were you... that Jack Russell has probably been eaten by Moby Dick by now.. the woman has still lost her marbles, the bloke is probably stepping into his stilletos as you type, and the baby is settled into one of the bins for the night.. Wink

renlovesyou · 16/01/2011 00:46

SIL lives in the same block and we often update each other on the whereabouts of the pram.

SIL says she offered to help carry the womans shopping up the stairs once and was told yes to the help but dont come near the front door.

You can surely tell that we have little else going on... Confused

charliesmommy · 16/01/2011 00:54

She didnt want you to see the whale tank...

stLucia · 16/01/2011 01:01

I think your obsession with this pram is unhealthy.
And what sort of noise does a whale make?
