Honestly - I am amazed! You'll all drive yourselves to an early grave with all the fretting about non-stuff that you do! Fair dos for the big stuff but it's page after page of small stuff. Chill out and drink more but stop the worrying!

but thats the whole point of mumsnet no? to let off steam and have a good old moan.

I mean there's only so much moaning a real life friend will listen to

cantspel · 07/01/2011 21:26

this is my first post so no moans from me yet but i am sure it is only a matter of time

LoveRedShoes · 07/01/2011 21:27

Yep, I agree, but YABU as this is AIBU which in itself is a place to moan or get annoyances off your chest.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 07/01/2011 21:27

cantspel (brilliant name!) you're not a fully fledged mnetter unless you've had a bloody good whinge about something, usually something totally unreasonable so that everyone can jump in and tell you you don't know you're born. :o

TiggyD · 07/01/2011 21:29

You've never experienced the misery of somebody not parking correctly? Never suffered from cupcakes which turned out to be a bit more expensive than you had thought they would be? Never had a relative that ever did anything slightly annoying?

The little things matter.

To women anyway. Men might get a bit irritated if one of their legs comes off or something, but women care about the little stuff. Wink

friedtoacrisp · 07/01/2011 21:30

Fair enough gwenML - if you put it like that. I guess it was the poster up in arms about answering her DH's phone that tipped me over. Anyone would have though she was expected to plait his pubes at 100mph!

I prefer all the threads about trivial stuff. I go 'yeeeeeeay, I am not the only person who gets Angry when someone smokes at the bus stop/delays in the check out queue/boasts about dd's fabulous exam results.

bubbleOseven · 07/01/2011 21:32

i love the annoying little moans you get on mumsnet.

i love the annoying little moans you get on mumsnet.

southeastastra · 07/01/2011 21:32

i like to moan on here but i miss helpful threads - i used to like googling for things no-one wants that now

bubbleOseven · 07/01/2011 21:33

oops didnt mean to post that second one.

What I meant to say was my bunions aint half killing me

cantspel · 07/01/2011 21:33

GwendolineMaryLacey I am sure i can manage that.

i could mange a good whing about all the dp,ds,dc,dd's used and wonder why people cant just post son ect

And why do peple refer to them as d for darling and then proceed to post a thread of what a pain in the arse or how unreasonable they are. Dont seem very darling like to me

ShoppingDays · 07/01/2011 21:34

YABU. I like the way AIBU is a mixture of trivial and important stuff. There's no rule to say it has to be groundbreaking.

pagwatch · 07/01/2011 21:35

Op. Are you moaning about trivial threads?

Don't you have more important things to moan about?

mutznutz · 07/01/2011 21:36

I hear you OP Confused

The not wanting to answer the phone, the other woman who wanted to report a shop assistant for cracking a joke, someone up in arms because her daughter's unlabled shoes weren't returned pronto....

I needed an excuse to drink heavily and now I have one Grin

cantspel · 07/01/2011 21:37

friedtoacrisp dont mention pubes as there is a very long thread on here about how dreadful it is that women now want to shave off their pubes.
It is a sign we are all downtrodden sex slaves of men you how.

And on another whinge why is there no quote button?

GMajor7 · 07/01/2011 21:38

MN's trite pap provides perfect escapism. YABU!

GwendolineMaryLacey · 07/01/2011 21:40

PMSL @ plaiting pubes :o

LoveRedShoes · 07/01/2011 21:40

And yet............you are here moaning about people moaning Smile

ledkr · 07/01/2011 21:44

cantspel they'll be coming for you, i have been chuckling about that for few days but not brave enough to post,go over and post something to wind them up and then run like the wind hahaha

thisisyesterday · 07/01/2011 21:46

meh. i LOVE a good moan

it's cathartic

BaroqinAroundTheChristmasTree · 07/01/2011 21:47

because it's a good place to moan

Personally I get through the major stuff pretty well. It's the little stuff that throws me and irritates me.

SE - there are still googleable threads around - I spent far too many hours last night and ended up having insomnia set in as I'd styaed up too long doing it a while last night googling for cheap holiday properties for a large group Grin
