  1. My cousin is a very famous footballer.
  1. I moved to a new country, alone, aged just 18. (I still live here and I love it.)
  1. I love going to the dentist because I fancy the pants of my dentist. He's heaven :)
Namethechange · 11/01/2011 08:21

Thanks untitled , it's nice to know they are nice I love flea he was my inspiration for learning bass guitar , I have been a fan for about fifteen years have literally everything they have ever done , I have to ask is ak as gorgeous in real life as he is in videos ? You seemed to have had the life I yearned for a couple of years ago before dh and ds , I used to dream of becoming a roadie and running away with a rock band .

Namethechange · 11/01/2011 08:23

Ps gutted if has now left the chilis they will still be good but with if they just sound right .

rockinhippy · 11/01/2011 09:40

All this talk of Robbie Williams & The Chilli Peppers are making me want to add more.....Just how hard is it to resist this thread...lol :)

I too sat next to Robbie Williams, but in a Sauna of a Gym that my 2 Muscle Mary friends still use, I was never a Take That fan, so I wasn't that impressed, but I have to say he was better looking & much bigger in RL than I would of expected, he came across as arrogant though, & was paying FAR more attention to my 2 hunky Gay friends than he did me, which leaves me wondering if he'll end up "doing an EltonGrin

The Chilli Peppers & a Guy who I presume was their manager tried to chat me & a group of Girlfriends up in a night club, the chat up line was so cheesy "Hey, are you Girls in a Band, or are you just Rock & Rollers" that we all fell about laughing & they ran off Grin

Err, need a 3rd 1 Confused

Aaah.... I have won prizes in 2 national photography contests, the only 2 I've ever entered & had my photos exhibited in galleries, 1 of which I sent a sports mad friend along to pretend to be me & collect on my behalf as I had no interest in having breakfast with the sports stars that were part of the prize.......I'm not a photographer, know little about it, but just point & shoot & like taking pictures.....its a bit of a bone of contention with my photographer DH, who worked for years in the field but never won anything Blush

I have a health condition similar to Lupus and to look at me now you wouldn't think that three years ago I was quite disabled and needed mobility aids to function.

I saved a random child's life once

I seriously considered trying out for stage school when i was younger.

NetworkGuy · 12/01/2011 20:23

A) I signed the Official Secrets Act in the mid 70s

B) I visited the Eastern Bloc in the late 70s (USSR: Leningrad)

C) I went north of the Arctic Circle in the 90s

( I could add one of my canine teeth is turned through 180 degrees [so the jagged shaped "back" is visible at the front, IYSWIM ] in case anyone needs to identify me from my teeth alone! )

UntitledNo2 · 13/01/2011 02:25

Namethechange , my DP also idolises Flea... DP is a bassist and sound eng, and loves Flea's bass riffs. Have you listened to the album 'P'? Johnny Depp and Flea, among others. Was for charity, and is amazing. AK is rather tasty, but quite arrogant, which is off putting - super hot but egotistical and quite short! He hasn't left though, John Frusciante has - bloody shame, he is a fecking brilliant guitarist, you should check out his solo work, it is stunning.

rockinhippy , was it their manager or tour manager who hit on you? I Once nearly brained their tour manager by knocking a v. heavy glass filled with whisky out a hotel window, missed him ny like 4 inches, glass was so heavy it cracked the pavement. Would ne hilarious if it was the same bloke, such a small world! Grin

UntitledNo2 · 13/01/2011 02:29

by like 4 inches
Would be hilarious

Seriously, either my phone is fecked, or my couple glasses of wine have destroyed my typing ability

rockinhippy · 13/01/2011 10:39

Untitled to be honest I'm not sure, from memory he had dark slightly redish hair, & was quite a stocky Guy & quite a smooth dresser , unlike the rest of them....black Crombie coat etc Does that sound like the same Guy???

It was at the old Astoria rock night, they weren't playing there, but were on tour I think, .....he approached us first, with a drawled American "Hey Girls" & introduced himself as their Manager, but it was the front man AK himself who then came over with the rest of the band & piped up with the cheesy chat up line....& YES, pmsl....he WAS short & very arrogant Grin & stormed off in a huff, followed by the rest of them when we cracked out laughing, the "manager" seemed okay though, he laughed, shrugged his shoulders & followed them....like your glass throwing story, would be funny if it were the same Guy :)

MittzyBittzyTeenyWeeny · 13/01/2011 10:44

Brian Clough came to my house when I was a little girl.

I had a painting done for me as a young girl because the painter said I had inspired him.

I have suffered nightmares for over 14 years, not every night, but most. They are horrifically real and I would like them to stop now.

I was trying SO hard to resist adding more, as I've done too many already....I'm blaming you for these bumblequeen :)

In my Teens, having met him at a gig & became friends with his Son, on trips to London Gigs I use to stay at Gary Glitters house with a gang of friends, some girls only 15, it was an amazing house & some of the rooms had real fur carpets, & Gary was always lovely & really spoilt us all, & NEVER made any of us feel uncomfortable, let alone try it on, I just couldn't believe it when all the paedo stuff started, but had to conceed (sp) in the end that he must of been guilty, it was a real shock :(, can only presume we were too old Confused

I was followed & flashed at by the man jailed for Jill Dandos murder, he caught me on a bad day so I chased after him gave him hellAngry, I never believed he was guilty, it just didn't fit with the man I chased, but him being arrested did make me FAR more sensible & less blaze' about where & when I walked on my own

Souxsie Soux once invited me back for a threesomeShock

sparkle12mar08 · 13/01/2011 12:54

I was right in the middle of the Manchester bombings. Had scratches on my legs and arms from flying glass.

I came through Kings Cross 3 minutes before the 7/7 bomb went off.

I'm jinxed...

Honeybee79 · 13/01/2011 13:01
  1. I have a Double First from Oxford. It's got me absolutely nowhere.
  2. I have ridiculously hairy legs.
  3. I hate people touching my belly button. I can't even bring myself to touch it myself.

Love the thread, if only all were true - not impressed with "I am a ghost/I travel by UFO on Mondays/I am dating Elvis"
Here are mine:

  1. When I was little I used to imagine I am somehow VERY special and unique and am being watched by the entire humankind, and people are in owe of my beauty and wisdom Hmm
  2. A little boy on a train asked me once (I was in my teens) if I'm an angel. He was about 4 and very serious and I was so confused I didn't have the heart to say no straight away, I said "I don't think so"
  3. I too am paranoid about the end of the world, I keep imagining horrors of the apocalipse (not religious) and really wish I could stock up on everything to try and survive. I worry about DS's survival and secretly freak out about natural disasters and bees dying and such, but DH laughs at me so can't talk about it :(
mamadiva · 13/01/2011 16:05

Cool thread :o I will add a few but they seem to pale in comparison to most!

  1. My surname is due to spelling mistake when my family emigrated from Ireland in the early 1900's, 1 letter was mis-spelled on the ID thing thus it has completely changed the sound of the name. Half of my family changed it back and we (the commoners) kept it.

Whilst I'm on that actually I might add that the bank hung up on me once because they thought I was a prank caller, as my name does sound a bit like Trace o Urine apprently :o

  1. My DP's best friend shot me.
  1. My DP and I started going out when we were 14 (almost 10 years agp) whilst we were trying to set each other up with the others best friend

Unititled gutted about ak there goes my number one crush haha , I will get that album sounds amazing . I think john frusciante is a genius and it's his and fleas musical genius that gives the chilis their amazing sound . I'm going to add three more I just can't resist this thread, When I was pregnant I watched the du riescht so gut video by rammstein a million times because I had such a raging crush on till lindemann ( and every other big burly man). I suffer with sleep paralysis on a regular basis and it scares the livi g daylights out of me. I was once had a very vivid sex dream about my best friend on holiday with her and could not look her in the eye for ages after.

NetworkGuy · 14/01/2011 11:13

Blimey mamadiva, is DP's best friend still a friend after shooting you ? One assumes it was a complete accident and clearly it wasn't fatal, so where did you get hit ?

NetworkGuy · 14/01/2011 11:54

sparkle12mar08 - sorry to hear of your experiences...

In the late 70s I was (more than once) evacuated from Euston when on my way to visit relatives, or the tube simply went straight on to the next stop.

Although we regarded bomb scares at college a 'prank' to get some Friday afternoons off, one Christmas when I arrived home there was news of a significant find of explosives in a garage lock-up close enough to have demolished a half-mile radius (which would have included my college, where I studied on 7th floor).

Walked past a bomb (hidden in a waste bin) in Kensington High Street, early 80s, which went off 10-15 minutes later - I was, by then, in some conference, and knew nothing about it until I saw a newspaper headline on the way home.

jendifa · 14/01/2011 12:14
  1. I moved house 9 times in 2010.
  1. I'm recovering from anorexia.
  1. My father went to prison the week before Christmas after I reported him to the police.
SerendipitousHarlot · 14/01/2011 13:01

Love this thread.

  1. I have never broken a bone, or been stung by a bee or a wasp.
  1. I am a spiritualist medium.
  1. There have been some funny things happen over the years with regards to disaster-type things. I was in London the day of the Kings Cross fire, and was supposed to travel home by train, but someone gave me a lift. My school had a school trip to Ledignan in France that my mum couldn't afford, so I couldn't go - the coach crashed and several pupils and teachers were killed. My ex-fiance came from a tiny village in Italy called San Giuliano di Puglia, which I visited once - a few years later there was an earthquake there that killed lots of people.
MildChilliBlend · 14/01/2011 13:11
  1. I've flown a plane solo for 2 and a half hours.
  2. I've snogged my husband's boss (before dh worked for him - and not his current boss).
  3. I do actually worship the ground my dh walks on, but don't let him know that, it'll only make him cocky.
