Its funny isn't it, the more you read others, the more you can think of :)

okay, I'm addicted, so heres a few more Grin

I once got too cocky & jet skied way too far from shore whilst traveling in the West Indies, & got the fright of my life to have some enormous brown dappled shark like creature, (about 18ft long & 4ft wide) suddenly break surface underneath me, I panicked & the jet ski cut out a few feet away from it, I managed to get myself going again & got the hell out of there quick as I could, closer to the shore I realised I had actually shat myself Blush, I never did find out what exactly the creature was, but it put me off jet skiing for life.

I have wiped the bum & the nose of someone who is now a very well known music star.

A very famous actress friend was so taken with my DD during her pregnancy, she named her own DD after mine.....I wasn't sure whether to be flattered or peeved Confused

The man who sings the True Blood theme song (his name's Jace Everett) kissed me once.

I am missing a bone in each of my hands (born without it) and a doctor once told me half-jokingly that I was more evolved because of it.

fluffyguineapigs · 07/01/2011 18:33

Sorry Norwegianmoon forgot to check back. Re your question the dream was seriously the scariest thing ever as I saw it from the position of the back of my head or a backpack so I had no control over it - just as if I was a video camera iyswim. I could only see certain things.

i did write it all down shortly after as it was so terrible, but then destroyed it.

I cannot be sure it was the end of the world but it seemed like it; I was with my mum, sister, best friend and perhaps more people but I could not tell because of the fact that i was a passive observer and couldn't see at will but we were walking down a tree lined path - i could just see from my angle the sun twinkling through spring leaves, and then the ground started quaking and there was such a sense of doom.

as we looked to the sky there seemed to be a shock wave and fiery streaks coming down, then an immense wind / shockwave overcame us and then my view was just of travelling at immense speed over the surface of the earth and rising so high I could see the curvature.

Words seem a bit flat describing this really. i just know that i was so scared by it that a college teacher that day was concerned by my very ashen face that she thought I was unwell and wanted to send me home.

Disclaimer: i am not usually such a wuss when it comes to dreams

Cambington · 07/01/2011 19:01

My three things:
1)I was so fed up with how a cult scifi series ended in the early 80's that I've written the sequel in a novel but don't have the guts to do anything about it - but hey, at least I now know what happened next! Grin

2)I had horrendous screaming nightmares about towering looming skyscrapers and a plane flying between them with screaming engines, and fear/panic so bad I would fling myself across the room to wake myself up - put it down to hormones as preg with DD, then 9/11 happened and they stopped....Shock

3)My great great etc Uncle was the priest on the Titanic.

mckenzie · 07/01/2011 19:29

I nearly died when I was born and was christened within hours of my birth as the doctors said I wouldn't survive.

EsmeWeatherwax · 07/01/2011 23:12

I once had a dream where I was killed by being blown away as dust in the wind. I woke up feeling the most peaceful I have ever felt!

I have been exceedingly drunk in the company of the bloke who was the elephant keeper in that episode of blue peter where the elephant baby ran riot in the studio.

Despite the fact that I live in the place I was born, I moved away for ten years, have been back for five, I am so lonely its a physical ache.

Servalan · 07/01/2011 23:16

Cambington - was that cult sci-fi series Blakes 7? (you can tell by my user name that I'm a bit of a fan :o)

  1. When I was 8 my grandad died infront of me, I still blame myself for not knowing what to do.
  1. People in camden know me by Bambi instead of my name, because I thought it was cool. I realise now it wasn't, but it's too late the nickname has stuck.
PurpleLostPrincess · 08/01/2011 01:01

Back for seconds! Grin

  • I was born with dislocated arms and can turn them around further than most people. This was discovered when I was 11 and had a fall - they x-rayed both arms to check and confirmed it, the hurt arm was just bruised.
  • I was meant to be deaf at birth. My Mums family is one of the longest lines of families in Europe where all members were profoundly deaf, she was one of the first hearing children born. She wanted me to be deaf when I was born (but got over it of course!); and my children may have deaf children too as it seems to skip a generation now. Strangely enough, I play piano by ear!
  • My grandfather was a member of the IRA. Can't say much more about that one in case I'm being watched!!! ShockHmmWinkBlush
ZebrasAreSpotty · 08/01/2011 01:20
