BookcaseFullofBooks · 06/01/2011 17:37

When I don't understand or know how to do something, I buy books about it - I have lots of books!

I would dearly love to be a neuroscientist but consider myself too stupid.

I have two extra nipples!

frozenfestiveflo · 06/01/2011 17:57

Both of my parents could have lived in Australia - Dad's gp's emigrated but didnt like and came back!!!!!!!!! and Mum's family had tickets already for the 50's mass emigration and my Nan changed her mind!

My eldest DD has a middle name after my Nan that wasnt actually my Nan's name despite her thinking it was for 60 years

Have spent much drinking time with an England Rugby captian

BreakOutTheKaraoke · 06/01/2011 18:23

My DD is allergic to anti-allergy medicine too Muira.

It looks like I have a bag under my eye, but its actually a scar left by a dickhead ex. It looks more prominent when I'm well rested, so I actually look more tired after a good nights sleep!

I'm the only member of my family to pass my driving test first time round.

I can fit 3 TV remotes (2 if sky remote size!) in between my big toe and second toe.

hairyfairylights · 06/01/2011 18:25

desertgirl · 06/01/2011 19:19

flaine, is one (or both) of the daughters adopted?

twirlymum · 06/01/2011 19:27

I have an IQ of 155, yet make tea for a living Sad

I feel aristocratic, and am a stickler for etiquette (must be my ancestry- see previous posts)

I don't like dogs or cats.

tempurmattress · 06/01/2011 19:31

I was stung by a scorpion as a child. It really hurt.

I knew a family whose daughter was killed by a crocodile

When I was 18 I was asked to audition for a Hollywood film. Didn't get the part and was devastated for about 2 years. Film was rubbish a huge success.

onceamai · 06/01/2011 19:36

All these high IQ's - mine's only about 117 and my teachers all said I was thick and should do a secretarial course.

In my forties got prof quals, letters after my name and an MBA.

In my 20s made enough money to buy a house in SW London and had almost repaid the mortgage by the time I got married.

desertgirl · 06/01/2011 19:48

another one here with high IQ and zero application (coasting through much of school doesn't really prepare you for the real world)

I have at some point broken my back without noticing (discovered when I had a chest x ray)

my (now ex-)H managed to get himself stuck in a war zone just when our first child was due. It wasn't a war zone when he went there... am probably the only mother in the world who hit 40 weeks and was trying not to encourage the baby to come out :)

My grandmother and great aunt (sisters) and my mother's cousin (not on the same side) all wrote children's books (and all had more than one published; none actually famous though :( )

And I don't have wisdom teeth.

Lotster · 06/01/2011 19:50

"...see into the future and some of that has come to pass.."

Flaine you sound like Gandalf Grin

happybubblebrain · 06/01/2011 19:54

After reading so many great responses I have realised my original 3 things were very lame so I'm replacing them with:

  1. I've had 10 moped/motorbike accidents. And my ex-boyfriend died in one.
  1. My grandad escaped from a prisoner of war camp in 1941. Later in life he was Arther Scargill's lawyer.
  1. I've had lots of prophetic dreams; an out of body experience; seen a UFO, lots of ghosts, angels and a mermaid; and I once met an old man (who I'd never met before) who knew everything about me, including things I'd never told anyone.

(I may have imagined the mermaid).

StationaryPawn · 06/01/2011 20:00

"flaine, is one (or both) of the daughters adopted?"

Or did you have one early and they managed to stop your labour?

StationaryPawn · 06/01/2011 20:01

My fave is still the 'one man and his dog' triumph....it has stuck with me throughout this thread....Grin

boobellina · 06/01/2011 20:14

have spend ages reading this and am loving it all:

  1. I work as a phone sex line operator - only dh knows this in RL. I really like my job and can get quite turned on with some of the callers.
  1. I was a complete kleptomaniac when a teenager and have now learnt to stay away from the shops when I am stressed or freaking out. Have never been caught because I look like a good girl!
  1. My best mates (not so d )h tried it on with me at a party 18 months ago, really tried it on with me was rather persistent, and I still don't know what to do about it - have told no-one.
