1. I had a near death experience

Ooh I've got a no.4. A ghost threw a picture at me in Canada!

1. I was very publicly propositioned by a married TV chef

2. I called Crimestoppers about a member of my family. I will never know if this was directly responsible for their later arrest and a chain of events that resulted in their suicide.

3. I am dangerously close to losing the plot entirely. It's been a close run thing for years now. If my family knew they would be terribly upset. I have now sought help.

I have a calling card from Countess Markievicz which she left for my grandfather whilst he was in hospital [Irish history blah blah blah ]

Also, I too had a high IQ (145) when I was a child. It was so high that James Joyce's niece had to test me twice to check. Like the other posters, I've not fulfilled my potential either. I managed a 2ii at University and have been a borderline dufus most of my life.

How does everyone know what their IQ's are/were?

geezemydeetarecold, many companies test IQ as part of their Psychometric Testing process. I am another one with very high IQ who has made a complete mess of my life

I am obsessed with feathers - I have a feather pillow by the side of the bed just so I can pull them out. I can tell you if it's a good feather or a bad feather. My DH thinks this is the weirdest thing about me...!

I failed my driving test by driving on the wrong side of the road.

I'm a hyperchondriac

2. I once had a loaded shotgun pointed at me from 4ft away by a very drunken man for what seemed a very long time!

3. I am always 2 points short on my IQ for joining Mensa!

I have been held at gunpoint by military, whilst traveling...twice & mugged twice, once by a large Monkey & a troop of wild Baboons

Lemmy (Motorhead) once proposed to me & on bended knee in the middle of a club , & I was once firemans lifted out of trouble by Johnny Rotten.

I feel blessed when look back on my life, as I realise I've had way more than my fair share of close shaves with death, yet have always walked away unscathed

everyone has really interesting things that have happened to them- there is a book for every person here.

It interesting how many people here have conversations with themselves-im wondering how many of you are only children, i am and i do the conversation with myself thing. I think its because i didnt have many people to talk to when i was little (not an unhappy thing).
Its also strange how many people have had near death experiences and then gone on to see UFOs. Id love to hear more about your experiences.

My great great grandfather was hanged for poisoning his wife and 3 of his children with mushrooms. Only my great grandmother and her brother survived (but they were separately adopted and never met again - she died a few years ago aged 103 and never stopped looking for him )

My dead Nan used to visit me at night when I was a young child. I was never scared but my mother was so freaked out, she brought a priest in to bless the house (we weren't even Catholic !)

Only child here who is constantly talking to myself. Dd is also an only and does it too.

I thought that too about the UFO & NDE connections on here NorwegianMoon ....I too have seen UFOs, 3 times, no near NDE, but I have had a few out of body experiences, & seen several ghosts, & noticed in RL, that those who own up to these experiences see to experience more than 1 phenomena

I have seen ghosts and nearly died the 3rd time I got run over (but didn't have a NDE). I haven't however seen UFO's (although those bloody chinese lanterns gave me a bit of a fright over New Year )

Not an only child, but I also do the conversation thing, even acidently recorded myself doing it whilst cleaning .....I had NO idea I was talking out loud until I played back......& have on occasion had to have a serious word with myself & pretend to cough, when I realised I was doing it whilst walking in the street
