Why do you think you're still homesick after 10 years? I was much the same......then moved back to the town where all my family are.......I'm moving away again the summer

Wow - some very weird wonderfulness out there!

vintageteacups My whole family live in one small seaside town (that I was DESPERATE to get away from) and since I had kids I just want them growing up with people who love them all around them. I want to bump into people I know and have always known in the supermarket, you know? When I call my mum and I can hear my niece and nephew playing in the background because my sister has 'just popped in' it makes me want to cry. :( I think its all very acute just now because dd is only 14 weeks, ds is 4 and my dad is very seriously ill.

1. I came across a wild bear in northern Japan.

Well....Considering how much time I spend here I am hard pressed to find something I haven't told before.....

1. I found a wartime grenade under our balcony when I was 7, and had to sit very still and keep hold of it until a bomb disposal squad came and literally took it off my hands.

unmentioned - you sound like you need to get some extra support. You are brave though; not living near to the rest of your family, even though you are desperate to.
