to think that this is a strange sort of insult?

Met up with some moms from school over the holiday.

There's a new teacher at school, who I think has been great for DD3 (Year 3), he's really enthusiastic and inspirational. He's also the only male teacher at the school Sad.

One of the moms obviously has issues with how he's been with her DD, and came out with the comment "he looks like the sort of guy who hides his PIN number when he's keying it in". Confused

Is this actually an insult?

And what is she actually suggesting by this?

perfectstorm · 01/01/2011 21:10

TrillianAstra · 01/01/2011 21:12

That is an odd insult.

Shall we make up some more?

Looks like the kind of guy who locks his car when he goes to pay for his petrol.

Looks like the kind of guy who separates red jumpers from white shirts when he does his washing.

Looks like the kind of guy who charges his phone up before it runs out.

MeUnscrabbly · 01/01/2011 21:12

Or he's the sort of person who would prefer not to have his money stolen? Xmas Confused

HeathcliffMoorland · 01/01/2011 21:12

newyearsheave · 01/01/2011 21:12

ChampagneTrulyReigns · 01/01/2011 21:13

He does just look like he does everything properly - I wonder if it's her take on he crosses his 't's sort of thing?

She's not the funniest sandwich at the picnic. Wink

Nice one sea. Grin

You're welcome to use it LogL, you must accredit me (and my friend) each time. Arf.

He wouldn't let the bath overflow.

He remembers to renew his TV licence.

He always eats his five-a-day.

RudolfThePinkNosedReindeer · 01/01/2011 22:02

LMAO this is genius. What a rubbish insult!

weedle · 01/01/2011 22:07

To be fair when I heard that I did immediately get an image in my head, no he wasnt attractive. Yes he was very vanilla. It's the kind of phrase my group of friends would use, not as an insult more as describing someone without going on...

BosomForAPillow · 01/01/2011 22:08

He looks like the type of man who'd peel a banana before he eats it.

jessiealbright · 01/01/2011 22:15

Perhaps your friend actually has lurks in ATM queues, memorising other people's PINs? Strictly as a hobby, you understand.

KingTrollo · 01/01/2011 22:16

He's the kind of man who'd use a clean knife for the jam.

I am very pleased with my new name.
