didnt know they existed tbh but surely they are more open to abuse than the disabled and mum and baby ones? Should be interesting.

Good idea I say

charliesmommy · 29/12/2010 18:36

why on earth are they necessary?

GypsyMoth · 29/12/2010 18:37

riven,i would have been in more need of them from week 6-20 with hyperemesis than from weeks 36-41!!!

and my last baby was 10lb 3oz!

theevildead2 · 29/12/2010 18:38

Some pregnant women are in nearly constant pain charliesmommy and shouldnt need to park miles away just to pop in quickly to ASDA.

Old people on zimer frams currently out run me and I'm always afraid of getting hit trying to get across busy car parks. Think its a nice idea. WIll be abused though

tingelingle · 29/12/2010 18:40

I would definitely appreciate these at my local supermarket. The spaces seem so narrow, my bump so wedged in the half open door....

SkyBluePearl · 29/12/2010 18:41

what a fab idea! not all pregnancies are a walk in the park. i had such bad morning sickness/exhaustion with all of mine i could hardly leave my bed never mind walk from the car to morrisons. was so bad i got signed off work for 7 weeks. I also had movement problems from about 7 months with each pregnancy too.

will laugh if i see any men parked in the spaces though!

dementedma · 29/12/2010 18:45

oh ffs what next? Spaces for women who are trying to conceive who are too exhausted from all that shagging to totter a few feet unaided?

byrel · 29/12/2010 18:47

What next spaces for fat people

QuoththeRaven · 29/12/2010 18:47

i really like this idea hehe. i have spd, so waddle about in constant pain, and dh has to reverse to let me get back in the car. tis not fun.

charliesmommy · 29/12/2010 18:48

sorry, but how would you manage to wander around the shop if you were in that much pain.. you just wouldnt go out bloody shopping!! thats what the internet is for! and you shouldnt be driving if you are feeling so ill either.

at this rate anyone without a condition may as well get the bus to the supermarket as there will be no spaces left for them!

TheParasiteofChristmasPast · 29/12/2010 18:49

What a load of wankerage

nightmarebeforechristmas · 29/12/2010 18:49

wtf
whatever next, I realise some people have health problems whilst pregnant, but do all pregnant women really need this?
seems plain daft to me.

TheParasiteofChristmasPast · 29/12/2010 18:49

they will have high heel parking next

usualsuspect · 29/12/2010 18:50

Ridiculous idea ..although I could probably pass for a pregnant woman with my post xmas belly so could blag a parking spot

theevildead2 · 29/12/2010 18:50

Charming CM

TheParasiteofChristmasPast · 29/12/2010 18:50

how about one for pensioners, they need the spaces more that pg people and people with children

TheParasiteofChristmasPast · 29/12/2010 18:51

my grandmother had a car

scrappydappydoo · 29/12/2010 18:51

Good idea but they will be abused...

I think they should do extra wide parking spaces - then those with children, older people, massive 4x4s will all be able to access them

Maybe we should get rid of disabled bays for people who only have crutches ets as they probably shouldn't be walking around ASDA either.

southeastastra · 29/12/2010 18:52

my mum had a wheelie thing did her back in

TheParasiteofChristmasPast · 29/12/2010 18:53

pregnant women do not need special parking spaces ffs.
