quarreling...feuding and fightin

quarreling....Writer Graham green had an original angle. you are going to quarrel with someone evenmtually. So get it over at the start of the relationship (not a good idea.)

Family quarrels are 10-a-penny. A law of nature. Perhaps the middle classes handle their upsets with more tact and less drama.

Had any good quarrels lately? They can be positive, if you keep your head and sense of humour..

they can also be destructive

Not once have I understood one of your OPs GabbyLoggon, but you always make me smile :)

FrostyAndSlippery · 18/12/2010 14:19

But no, DH and I don't really quarrel.

ethelinaTheBloodyGreatXmasElf · 18/12/2010 14:22

Haven't had a family quarrel since I can remember. Some people thrive on them, others don't, others still aren't built to quarrel. Are you a human who quarrels much Gabby?

GabbyLoggon · 18/12/2010 14:22

we all quarrel

OP posts:
GabbyLoggon · 18/12/2010 14:24

I always turn it to a constructive use. This will end up in a paper.

GabbyLoggon · 18/12/2010 14:24

frosty..you lack sincerity

OP posts:
FrostyAndSlippery · 18/12/2010 14:48

I lack sincerity?! That's charming Hmm please explain that comment?!?

irishqueensspeech · 18/12/2010 14:54

and again .... Why is this in AIBU Gabby?

FrostyAndSlippery · 19/12/2010 14:18

Shock we scared gabby away!

GabbyLoggon · 20/12/2010 11:59

one line posters are the scared ones Frosty...scared of real debate. scared some middle class wallah make take them apart.

People who can only post one liners must really hate our lovely english language.

On quarrels I think it is the large families who do the feudin..tell us about yours MEN are of course the main quarrelers.

OP posts:
StayingFatherChristmasGirl · 20/12/2010 13:03

Might I point you to your one line posts at 14:22:51, 14:24:02 and 14:24:56 on Saturday, Gabby. The phrase 'hoist by your own petard' springs to mind - as does the phrase 'brevity is the soul of wit.'

deaddei · 20/12/2010 13:05

I quarrel and dh listens Xmas Grin

StayingFatherChristmasGirl · 20/12/2010 19:02

That made me laugh wryly, deaddei - dh and I are the same.

FrostyAndSlippery · 20/12/2010 19:06

LOL

I would quite happily have a debate with you gabby (consisting of more than one line, naturally) if I actually understood what the fuck you are actually asking us all to talk about!

MittzyBittzyTeenyWeeny · 20/12/2010 19:19

Many of us quarrel Gabby but some of us chose not to. I think it is a choice, not a given.

I thought your OP was going to be about children quarrelling and it feeling like a blender in your head Grin.

balia · 20/12/2010 19:22

What's a wallah make take?

FrostyAndSlippery · 20/12/2010 23:43

I keep seeing references to the OP doing 'a bit of writing' - published? Really?!? Hmm

StayingFatherChristmasGirl · 21/12/2010 09:52

I wonder if Gabby is going to come back and explain how her one-line posts are so infinitely superior to all other one line posts. Xmas Hmm

GabbyLoggon · 21/12/2010 14:08

Christmas. If you just use one liners to insult people then it is not playing the debating game.

Frosty...facually I have been in every daily, sunday and evening paper in UK...

Perhaps I do a lot of listening to BBC Radio 4...its a midlle class talking shop
(a good one,) and I now use middle class
terminology.....I can do tabloid stuff, but its not my style....lets try frosty in Sunspeak

FROSTY CLAIMS NO UNDERSTANDING OF ENGLISH,
SCHOOLING BLAMED> HEAD SACKED...details page 139....

seriously....there is a vast difference in
language use between different CLASSES

Is it good or bad? I suppose its inevitable

Kids pick up parents lingo first..then their mates...then schooling.

Read the serious RESEARCH frosty if your interested. Writing is my resposibility
READING us yours...

I thought this was supposed to be a country song.
Quarreling feudin' and fightin'

YABU btw

tribpot · 21/12/2010 14:11

I'm guessing if writing is your responsibility, spell check is someone else's?

tyzer2001 · 21/12/2010 14:12

It's unfortunate then that the responsibility of writing falls to someone unintelligible and unable to spell/type.

Debs3013 · 21/12/2010 14:24

Okay sorry to be the pedantic one here but frankly you're asking for it. From your last post:

  1. Facually - should that not be factually
  1. Its I am assuming is an abbreviation of it is therefore should it's
  1. Midlle - I'm guessing Middle
  1. Your (addressing Frosty) so again I believe I'm right in saying should be You're
  1. And finally the great 'resposibility' I always prefer responsibility myself

I would assume from your crystal clear use of our beautiful English language that you probably have been 'published' on-line at the Daily Mail!

Yes I know, a very immature post but I do so hate people who act in a superior manner but really have nothing to back it up.

tjacksonpfc · 21/12/2010 14:25

I no why gabby has been in every daily, sunday and evening paper in the uk,

She is wanted by the police and on the run lol. Will explain some of the strange posts by her maybe Xmas Grin

raspberryberetbaby · 21/12/2010 14:27
